- Underground music scene
- 126-person venue

This club is particularly popular for its dance floor, which people say hops all night long, thanks to a great crowd and a superb sound system. Take a look at what people are saying about their services:
This venue has some of the best engineering for sound quality for any live music venue in the city. It’s a lot smaller than some venues, but the dance floor is excellent, the music awesome, and the decor is great.
Location is awesome too.
I’ll be back for future shows for sure.

Great club with a cool vibe. Great staff! Snotty Nosed Rez Kids were AMAZING!!! Crowd was having fun, but very respectful, especially when band members entered the centre of the crowd to perform. Only negative is that it was sweltering hot. Could go outside but who wants to give up front by the stage! 😉 Would definitely check out future shows here!!!

3. Evolution Wonderlounge
|ADDRESS||10220 103 St NW Edmonton Alberta T5J 0Y8|
|CONTACT DETAILS||(780) 424-0077 | email@example.com|
If you’re looking for a club where discrimination isn’t fashionable, then Evolution Wonderlounge is definitely the pick for you. This gay bar is one of most talked-about hangouts within the Edmonton social scene.
First off, you can meet great people here or just drink alcohol with friends during chill evenings. Plenty of people have actually recommended this place if you want to have fun or meet others.
This place also does some amazing events: it even hosts the occasional drag show.
Overall, their stellar reputation in the local LGBTQ+ community has made them one of the best clubs in Edmonton. You don’t even have to be LGBTQ+ to enjoy the place, as long as you have an open mind!
- Huge alcoholic menu
- Great ambiance
- Regular drag show events
Colorful, exciting, always cutting-edge, this is a club that people say you should go to if you love everything queer or open-minded. Here are some reviews so you can find out why customers enjoy this place:
An Edmonton staple that has given back literally thousands of dollars back into the community, charities and other initiatives. In the current club scene, there are plenty of straight venues looking to cash in on gay dollars by hosting one-off drag/lgbtq+ targeted events (especially during pride week) – Evolution Wonderlounge continues to stand out by being Edmonton’s queer-owned hot spot 365 days a year. Support local, and support who genuinely supports you – keep queer spaces alive (perhaps you feel safe at a straight bar, which is genuinely great, but not all of us do) and thriving through your patronage instead of lining the pockets of people who only seemingly care to make a quick buck.

InterVivos held “A Provincial Affair 2019” at Evolution Wonderlounge on April 2, 2019. In true support of civic engagement, the owners graciously donated their beautiful space for our event. Located in the heart of Edmonton, Evolution Wonderlounge was a recognizable name that excited many of our attendees. It was accessible by transit, with free, nearby street parking available after 6.
Our event was in a speed networking style, and the large space allowed for 100 people to freely move from their tables, to the bar to get food and drinks, and to mingle. The neon lights and eccentric artwork on the walls and tables provided a welcomed change of board rooms and conference rooms for interVivos. There was also enough seating for a large number of guests, which is great for groups that plan on having a lot of attendees. The large stage was also fantastic for the many photo-ops of the speakers and the volunteers.
The staff was friendly and accommodating during the planning stages. We hope to work with Evo and their staff again sometime in the future

Take a look at what specific people are saying about their service in the reviews below:
Amazing experience. The place was not too busy but the live band was great. My first time being here and I loved the vibe.
Negative: The only negative is that you need CASH. You can get cash from the ATM machine inside but charges you $3 extra per transaction.
So, if you don’t mind that charge or you carry cash, this place is worth checking out.
Special mention: Wings Wednesday was really good and super cheap. They get the wings from place next door but they are good. Only four flavours though.

I’ve been a regular here at the Saturday Jam for about 20 years. I feel right at home, safe and comfortable. I’m not a huge drinker, but $3.75 for a pint of cold Lucky is alright by me!!! I have been privy to seeing many famous musicians here..some new and some well known.
The part that makes The Commie so great is it’s always warm and welcoming. The owner remembers your name, the band recognizes your face and comes to chat with you. In between sets they have a DJ now which is a fantastic idea. Since the new GM took over we’ve seen new genres emerge and drawing a younger clientele. Many many fond memories here.
If Edmonton is a pit stop this is a must see for great blues music!

Probably best dance floor in town, due to no sticky alcoholic drinks being poured all over it. Definitely one of the safer after-hours places I’ve ever been to. My personal favorite place to dance and hangout with good people. 10/10 would recommend to swing by on a Saturday night!
—Nigel James, Google Reviews
The best place to go dancing all night long. When the bars shut down, The Y starts up. Whether you’re into electronic music or not- the vibe here is friendly, safe and energetic. They also enforce a ‘no creep’ policy, so ladies can trust that this is safe environment where they can enjoy their ‘girls night out’ with no interruptions. My favorite place to have fun on the weekend, Y Afterhours.
