The 5 Best Event Spaces in Edmonton for Any Occasion

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.
  • Venue Versatility and Layout: We prioritized venues that offer flexible layouts and can accommodate a wide range of events, from weddings and private parties to business functions.
  • Location and Accessibility: We looked for spots that are easy to find and even easier to get to—bonus points for good parking and nearby transit.
  • Amenities and Service Offered: We chose event spaces that go beyond four walls—think built-in AV setups, catering packages, decor options, and on-site coordinators.
  • Atmosphere and Aesthetic Appeal: We looked for venues with great lighting, character, and a vibe that leaves an impression.
  • Pricing and Value for Money: We included venues across a range of budgets but made sure each one offered clear pricing and real value.

When I helped plan a wedding in Edmonton, I thought finding a venue would be easy. It wasn’t. One had a broken fountain (why?), another had great views but no seating.

After a few awkward tours, we were seriously ready to elope.

Every venue claims to be “elegant” or “perfect”—until you’re standing in a room with dated carpet and horror-movie lighting. Edmonton has options, sure, but finding one that actually feels right takes more than a few clicks.

That’s why we dug deeper. We looked for venues that don’t just look good online but make planning easier too. These are the event spaces that stood out—and might just save you from a stress cry in the car.

How much does it cost to rent an event space in Edmonton?

Event space rentals in Edmonton typically range from $100 to $5,000+, depending on the size, location, and type of venue. For small gatherings or workshops, you can expect to pay $100 to $500.

1. Studio96

CONTACT DETAILS(780) 428‑8450
OPERATING HOURSMonday to Friday: 10:00  AM –  6:00 PM

Saturday and Sunday: Closed

Studio96 honestly surprised us in the best way. We checked it out undercover just to see what the vibe was like, and right away, the space felt different—in a good way.

It’s in this old church, so you get those high-vaulted ceilings, big arched windows, and this mix of exposed brick and cool lighting that gives it kind of a historic-meets-modern feel. Not too stuffy, not too flashy. Just…really nice.

The main hall is where most of the magic happens. It’s big enough for a wedding or a concert, but still feels cozy.

One couple we chatted with said they loved how they didn’t need to flip the space between the ceremony and reception. There’s a lounge downstairs for cocktail hour, so guests aren’t awkwardly waiting around.

They’ve thought through a lot of logistics too: bridal suite, catering space, and a fully stocked bar set up. Even needs like chairs and lighting are included.

That said, it’s not the most accessible venue around. The restrooms are below ground, and there’s no elevator, so that could be a challenge for some guests.

Pros

  • Rich architectural story
  • Architect-planner collaboration
  • Versatile event programming
  • Performance-ready infrastructure
  • On-site bar, catering area, and bridal suite
  • Thoughtful lounge spaces
  • Inclusive wedding packages
  • Full facility access and perks
  • Warm, personal service

Cons

  • No elevators
  • Restrooms are below ground

Beautiful, accommodating venue with outstanding support

“We had our wedding at Studio 96 in October of 2021 and with the challenges of the ongoing pandemic and having to reschedule our original date, Sylvia went above and beyond helping us navigate our planning! She was kind, helpful, and very accomodating for us. Our experience was excellent with this beautiful venue, and our guests couldn’t stop talking about how awesome it was. It is a lovely space for both your ceremony and reception and you really feel valued as a client. We would 100% recommend Studio 96 as a venue to have an incredible day!”

Unique, all-in-one venue

“My wife and I were married here in the fall of 2019.  We could not have been happier with our choice of venue!

Sylvia was absolutely amazing from the first moment we met her! She is dedicated, hard working and extremely good at what she does.  She made the planning process so much easier and helped us out so much during the preparation phase.

The space itself is phenomenal and truly unique, especially in a city like Edmonton where we don’t have as many historical buildings.  It was great to have the ceremony, dinner, and dance all in one place.

I can not recommend Studio 96 enough!”

2. Bison Lodge

ADDRESS9430 Scona Road NW

OPERATING HOURSOperates by private bookings and scheduled public events

Bison Lodge has that kind of low-key charm that sneaks up on you. It’s tucked away in Scona Hill, and the second you step inside, it feels like a proper log cabin retreat—even though you’re still right in Edmonton.

We love the hand-fitted spruce log walls and the giant stone fireplace—together, they give the whole space a cozy, old-school cabin vibe that still feels timeless.

The main hall—called The Lodge—builds on that atmosphere. It’s surprisingly spacious but still manages to feel warm and personal. The wood floors, cedar roof, and that same big fireplace really set the tone for any kind of gathering.

One of our colleagues actually attended a concert here and mentioned how the candlelight completely transformed the room. It gave the place this soft, intimate glow that paired perfectly with the rustic interior.

Beyond the look and feel, the space is well-equipped. There’s fast Wi-Fi, a sound system, and a projector—so most of the basics are already handled.

Parking is easy too, and there’s even a lift for accessibility.

Only catch? All the beautiful wood can make the lighting a bit moody. If you’re going for something brighter or modern-looking, you’ll probably want to bring in a few extras to light it just right.

Pros

  • Authentic hand-built log cabin charm
  • Picturesque location
  • Spacious yet intimate ballroom
  • Fully equipped
  • Candlelit ambiance
  • Accessibility lift and handicap ramp
  • Non-profit, community-driven

Cons

  • Lighting may feel too moody

Unforgettable event experience

“What a fantastic evening! The musicians were epic! Pink Floyd on strings… mind blowing. And the candlelight venue was beautiful. We will definitely be attending another Fever event! Fantastic!!!”

Intimate and immersive

“I absolutely loved the performance. The intimate candlelight setting created a magical atmosphere, perfectly suited for the emotional depth of Joe Hisaishi’s music. The string quartet played his most beloved pieces with such intensity and precision—it was both tense and deeply moving. The music brought out a wave of positive emotions, and I felt completely immersed in the experience. It was a truly unforgettable evening that touched the heart and soul.”

3. Fun4all

OPERATING HOURSMonday to Sunday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM

One of our team members’ daughters had her birthday party at Fun4all recently, so we got a firsthand look at how the space works for kids’ events—and it honestly delivered.

The place is clearly made for fun, with a super bright and colorful playground that kept the kids entertained for hours.

They booked one of the private party rooms, and the assigned staff took care of everything—from structured playtime to serving food, making sure everything stayed on schedule.

Their package also came with game tokens, party favors, and food for the kids. This made planning a lot less stressful for the parents.

The arcade and small snack bar were a nice touch too—perfect for quick breaks when the kids needed to recharge or when the adults needed a coffee.

On top of that, we appreciated how clean and well-organized the space was. Socks were required, waivers were signed, and the staff clearly stuck to the safety and hygiene rules.

The only downside? They have a no-outside-food policy unless you’re booking one of their higher-tier packages. So, if you were hoping to bring a homemade cake or your own snacks, that part might feel a bit restrictive.

Pros

  • Tailored kids’ play zones
  • Comprehensive party packages
  • Full event management
  • On-site arcade and snack bar
  • Safety and hygiene-focused
  • Flexible memberships and promos

Cons

  • No outside food allowed

Spacious and fun-filled

“We absolutely love FUN4ALL for all our special occasions. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We love booking the private party space on the upper floor. We find the area suitable for our large groups with ample seating. The play area is suitable for all ages and super fun! There is no comparable venue that offers this type of service! We will be booking FUN4ALL for all family events!”

Clean, flexible, and convenient

“We just had a birthday celebration here for our twins and first I have to commend how clean the place is!!! The staffs are so nice and they are very flexible since there is really no other party happening when we came. The party package is almost complete, you really just have to bring food or order but the rest is taken cared of by the venue. Highly recommended!”

OPERATING HOURSMonday to Friday: 9:00  AM – 4:00 PM (for showings) <>p>Available by appointment

We kept hearing great things about LAST Modern Event Venue, so we spoke with a few people who had rented it for weddings and corporate events, and the feedback lined up with the hype.

The space itself has an open-concept layout with high ceilings, soft curves, and neutral tones that feel polished but not overdone. Thoughtful details like the recessed arch wall and curved wainscotting add personality without overshadowing any decor.

Everyone we spoke to brought up how versatile it was. Some used it for larger celebrations, while others sectioned it off for more intimate gatherings—and in both cases, the layout just worked.

We thought the on-site FIRST Café and patio were a great bonus. They add a casual, laid-back element that makes the overall vibe feel more relaxed and well-rounded.

Beyond aesthetics, the behind-the-scenes support stood out too. We heard that features like vendor access, flexible drop-offs, and a private loading entrance made setup much smoother.

If there’s one thing to keep in mind, it’s that this venue leans more on the premium end. It’s stunning and fully equipped, but it might not work for tighter budgets.

Pros

  • Versatile, modular design
  • Architectural character
  • In-house First Café and Patio
  • Vendor-friendly logistics
  • Fully licensed and customizable bar
  • Premium guest amenities
  • Community-oriented and culturally engaged

Cons

  • Premium pricing tier

Ideal venue with outstanding service

“We had our wedding at LAST Modern Event Venue, and it was absolutely perfect. The space itself is stunning! minimalist, modern, and so beautifully designed that it hardly needed any extra décor to feel special.

From the beginning, working with Sarah and her team was a dream. They were always incredibly responsive and easy to communicate with. Every question we had was answered quickly and clearly, which made the planning process feel smooth and stress-free.

If you’re looking for a versatile venue with great service and a beautiful vibe, I’d absolutely recommend LAST. The only thing I’d note is that I wish the bartenders had a bit more experience.. but even with that, our overall experience was so positive that I still give it 5 stars without hesitation.

Thank you to the LAST team for helping make our day so memorable!”

Elegant and beautifully designed space

“I attended an event at this beautiful venue twice already and each time I felt like I was transported to a different city. It’s modern and elegant atmosphere cannot be found anywhere else in Edmonton. When I spoke to the owners, Anita and Sarah, they were so friendly and warm. It’s always a pleasure to work with people who love and live in Edmonton. I will definitely be booking this venue for my kids’ birthday parties or work parties in the future!

Edit: I hosted my son’s first birthday at Last and it was so incredibly special. The space looked beautiful, the kids had a blast, and all the parents were so appreciative of how kid and parent friendly the venue was. We added cafe services and it was worth every penny. The parents were well caffeinated and it also provided a quiet area for the more sensitive kids to sit and take a break. I got numerous thank yous from tired parents. Anita was a pleasure to work with. Not only was she kind and funny, she made planning a breeze. She saw my vision and I had full confidence she could execute it. I cannot recommend this venue enough.”

5. Evario Events Centre

ADDRESS950 Parsons Road SW
CONTACT DETAILS+1 780‑784‑8500
OPERATING HOURSMonday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (showing hours)

Open 24/7 for event bookings

We rented the Evario Events Centre for our company’s Christmas party about a year ago, and it ended up being a really practical and polished choice for a larger event.

The main ballroom was spacious and easy to work with—it had a clean, modern look with LED and cove lighting that helped set the tone without needing much extra decor.

We appreciate that the layout was super flexible. The built-in AV setup made it simple to run speeches and visuals without bringing in a ton of outside equipment.

What we liked most was how convenient it was. With the hotel, Evario Kitchen + Bar, and free parking all on-site, it made coordinating things a lot smoother, especially for our team members who were coming from out of town.

The breakout rooms were also useful for side activities and quieter moments away from the main event.

One drawback we noticed was the limited scheduling flexibility. Since it’s part of a hotel, they tend to stick to standard booking blocks. This can make it harder if you need extra setup time, want to extend your event, or have to adjust the timing last minute.

Pros

  • Spacious modern ballroom
  • Built-in AV and tech
  • Hotel integration and on-site dining
  • Free and ample parking
  • Multiple breakout/event rooms
  • Flexible event types

Cons

  • Strict booking blocks

Accommodating and seamless

“Want to thank you and your team for putting together a beautiful event for us, food was phenomenal, staff were unbelievable, and you all were very accommodating with our requests

Thank you all so much for making our special day perfect, we will be sure to recommend anyone and everyone to your venue in the future.”

Exceptional service and attention to detail

“We recently hosted our daughter’s first birthday at Evario Events Centre, and it was an absolutely perfect experience! From start to finish, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate all our requests and ensure everything ran smoothly. The food was incredible and received so many compliments from our guests. A special shoutout to Nikhil, Vikas, Chef Suman and Maureen, who truly exceeded our expectations with their exceptional service and attention to detail. Their professionalism and dedication made the event flawless. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue and team to celebrate such a special occasion. Highly recommend Evario Events Centre for any event!”
