Nakatsui DermaSurgery is one of the only five sites in Canada (and only one in Edmonton) using CellFX technology. It’s a higher-end, more innovative type of equipment used for the treatment of various skin lesions, including warts.
The best advantage that this technology offers is that it’s able to deal with extremely stubborn warts. Actually, the clinic also uses just about every other wart treatment available, so you can try those as well if you don’t want to go with CellFX.
The CellFX treatment apparently works by removing cells without disrupting the non-cellular collagen in the skin (unlike traditional wart-removal methods). That’s why there will be no scarring after the treatment, which is a fantastic plus.
However, we were disappointed to learn that CellFX still has flaws. The technology is not approved for the removal of genital and periungual warts, for example, which is a major disappointment given that they’re quite common types of infection.
The CellFX wart treatment is also on the expensive side. Not only is it not covered by Alberta Health Care, but it also costs approximately $250 for the first wart and $50 for each additional wart.
On the bright side, the clinic does have a slew of very satisfied customers who find value in the treatment. Like anything else, we recommend reaching out to the clinic to see what’s possible in your case.

If you can’t tell yet, the procedure they use to get rid of stubborn warts is laser treatment. They do have competent equipment for this – the Cutera Laser Genesis system – which allows for a quick and painless procedure.
In this case, the laser’s energy and heat seal off the blood vessels that supply the wart and cut it off. The wart will simply disappear on its own after being cut off from the blood supply, making it a very quick procedure.
Unfortunately, as effective as it may sound, there were a few clients we talked to who were dissatisfied with the treatment. There were complaints about its inconsistency in removing the infection, which cost them another appointment.
The clinic redeems itself by providing excellent client accommodation by welcoming any follow-up appointment for any wart removal at a reduced price. Though they first won us over with their free consultation.
Finally, despite minor concerns about the inconsistencies of their wart removal treatments, Laser Sheer managed to pass our standards by having a large number of positive comments regarding it in general.
