Traumatized, I went and tested every car wash in Edmonton with my older sedan. No way was I again risking the new one I hadn’t paid off yet until I knew the place was reliable!
Many weeks and about $300 after, I finally found car washes I can personally use and even strongly recommend to my friends – count yourself in!

The range of car wash services is what made Cupid’s Car Wash & Detail Centre earn a spot in our list. Besides the exterior wash and interior cleaning they provide, they’re also one for deluxe services (pretty nice if you want that extra shine).
But before we get into that, we found that they’re pretty affordable for complete car hand washing. You can get your car hand-washed and the door sills wiped for a very reasonable price (ranging from $19 to $25 depending on the type of vehicle).
They can also provide special care and attention to other exterior components such as bumpers, grills, headlights, side mirrors, wheels, and so on. However, this one will cost you more ($55) but we believe the price is reasonable given the service you’ll receive.
Cupid’s, as previously stated, provides deluxe exterior services. That’s why, in addition to complete hand washing, your car can receive a clear coat protectant and hot wax sealant, which will provide total protection for your car but is also costly.
We also reached out to past clients and the majority were impressed and satisfied with the outcome. One thing that stands out to us is their honesty, as we’ve heard that if the car isn’t too dirty, they’ll recommend a less expensive option.
Although there were minor complaints about the quality of service, we find the feedback relatively minor in the big picture. For now, we’ll consider short reviews of poor performance as an area of improvement for the business.

Self-service car washes may not be ideal for some, but with Clean Car Wash, customers might find themselves hooked to cleaning their own cars. They’re easily accessible as they’re open every day and have a station located outside of Edmonton.
If it’s the waiting in line you are worried about, we believe you’ll find the experience pretty satisfactory. It turns out that they have a total of 12 self-wash bays, which for us, is enough to accommodate customers (on regular days, at least).
Even larger passenger vehicles can do self-service car wash with them through their extra-large wash bays. This goes with vans and small buses (capacity of 24 passengers), including F-450 trucks – safe to say they can cater to various vehicles.
We’re also impressed by their extensive selection of car wash services. Clients can wash their entire vehicle from the ground up using high-pressure soap, foaming brush soap, clear coat protectant, vacuums, and there’s even a tire engine cleaner.
However, we’re afraid there’s quite a drawback with their equipment and tools. We’ve learned about problems with their water pressure, which clients say is sometimes choppy and low or not at a steady stream.
On the plus side, Clean Car Wash is one of those businesses that don’t seem to be mining gold from their clients. As a result, they don’t charge any additional fees such as transaction or setup fees, and it’s a truly appreciated effort.

For a quick touchless wash, we recommend you go to Rainbow Car Wash. They offer an automatic car wash service as well as available staff who can assist you in operating the machine (pretty standard, but nice to know).
We believe they’re the right car wash for you if you’re in a hurry as you’ll be in and out of their wash in less than 6 minutes. Although it made us think of potentially poor wash quality, most of their customers reassured us that the outcome is satisfying.
They have their staff do a pre-wash before your car goes under a fully automated car wash. Plus, they’ve been getting compliments on how they dry cars, and bring them out clean and shiny – a nice note for service quality.
When it comes to car wash services, they have a good selection, although somewhat limited. They have four options in total: basic wash, wash and rinse, deluxe wash, and super wash, with the first being the most popular with customers.
Rainbow Car Wash also impressed us with its low prices – in fact, their best car wash is available for less than $20. That’s why it’s not surprising that they’ve been getting a lot of customers from outside the town.
Unfortunately, despite providing a quick car wash, customers frequently wait in line for 15 minutes (tops). However, this doesn’t have a negative impact on the quality of their service, at least not for us, since having a spotless car after is a priceless experience.

Another self-service car wash on our list is Ultra Car Wash, which is regarded as an absolute gem by the majority of its customers. Our own evaluation attested to this, as they met our criteria for an ideal car wash location.
The first is that they are outfitted with advanced technology, allowing them to provide their customers with a complete detailing and showroom finish. They even have undercarriage washers for removing salt and dirt buildup in the chassis and wheel wells.
Just like what we saw in other car wash centers in this list, Ultra Car Wash has a complete exterior cleaning system. This includes foam cannon pre-soak, high-pressure soap, tri-colored wax, spotless rinse, and tire dressing (to finish the job).
During our personal visits, we saw their attendants demonstrating equipment on-site, which we totally appreciate. This means you don’t have to worry at all if you’ve never used a wand wash before as they’re pretty accommodating to help you with it.
On top of that, they have complete instructions for a perfect wash even on their website. It covers everything you need to know, from spraying and applying pressure to shampooing and vacuuming the carpet.
There’s just one minor snag: they can be quite pricey. Anything other than the foam cannon pre-soak costs 85 cents per minute. So, a 10-minute rinsing (which can happen to newbies) will cost you $8, which is a bit steep when compared to a fixed rate.

Bubbles Car Wash & Detail Centre hand washes everything when they clean cars, that’s why we reckon they’re the best fit for meticulous car owners. They’ve been in the business for over 30 years, which we believe demonstrates expertise.
As mentioned, they perform ‘old-fashioned’ hand washing where their staff pressure washes the entire car to remove dust, dirt, and other debris. Then they hand wash with lamb’s wool mittens and horse hair brushes to remove any film.
Another thing we liked about them is their variety of exterior washes. The basic hand wash and dry; the high gloss exterior package (which includes clear coat, spray paint, and hot wax); and the platinum exterior package, which is identical to the latter but only includes tire dressing.
We also liked that they’re fairly open about their pricing, though we think it is pretty expensive. The regular exterior wash with them ranges from $19.95 to $100.00 – luckily, they have packages where customers can save tens of dollars.
If you’re in a hurry, their quickest car wash service can be completed in as little as ten minutes, which is perfectly acceptable. Bubbles’ premium car wash service, on the other hand, typically takes hours to complete.
All things considered, Bubbles, for us, is made for clients looking for premium services. Just take note of their rates as we said since high-quality car wash does come at high prices as well.
