Grooming your pet is a big part of your responsibility as a pet parent. This is particularly important for our furry and often fussy friends, cats.
Good thing we know some of the best cat grooming services in Edmonton. Check them out below!
How Much Cat Grooming Services Cost in Edmonton
Cat grooming prices often range from $10 to $100, depending on the kind of service you want. Most shops offer packages with a variety of inclusions.
The actual cost of grooming will still be affected by several factors, however. For example, the state of your cat’s fur may add to the cost, particularly when it’s matted.
The temperament of your cat can also affect the price as some cats can claw or bite the groomer.
For now, you can use the following price table as reference for the services offered by our picks. However, for a more accurate quote, we recommend you get in touch with the groomers themselves.
Happy grooming!

1. Pretty Kitty Cat Grooming

Criteria | Ratings |
Experience and Expertise | ★★★★☆ (4/5) |
Communication and Customer Service | ★★★★☆ (4/5) |
Price | ★★★☆☆ (4/5) |
Pretty Kitty Cat Grooming is run by Allison, a member of the National Cat Groomers’ Institute.
She started her grooming journey in pets’ clinics and a local vet clinic with focus on cat grooming. Now, she’s the owner of a cat-only home salon that offers a variety of styles and services.
We can see that Allison is completely dedicated to cats, being a cat-owner herself. We believe this makes her a great choice as a groomer because she will work gently and carefully to ensure your cats come home clean, happy, and fresh.
She’s also very thorough and will update you on her progress throughout the grooming process. We also like that she takes her time with the cats, making sure to take breaks to keep them from being too stressed.
However, while Allison is great, she’s only one person. While she may have assistants, Allison does the grooming herself and this means she has limited appointment slots per day.
At the time of writing, they are currently booking six weeks in advance. However, if you are fine with the wait you can expect fast and happy customer service to greet you.
We love that they focus on cats, so you can expect a bark-free space to keep your cat stress-free and happy. This also means they only use cat-intended products, which are not the same as dog products.
All this great service comes at a bit of a steeper price range than the rest of our list, but not by so much that it’s unreasonable. All in all, we recommend Pretty Kitty Cat Grooming if you’re not pressed for time and want a cat-only groomer to groom your pet.
Pros
- Offers one-on-one, personalized grooming
- Fast customer service
- Cat-only salon, bark-free to reduce stress on your cats
Cons
- Limited booking slots
- Booking must be made six weeks in advance
- Packages are on the pricier end
Customer Reviews:
Professional and informative
“Allison was so professional and informative about how my boy Ray Ray’s first ever grooming experience was going to be. I felt confident that he was in good hands before dropping him off. She was transparent with what his needs were once she assessed his beautiful fur. I picked him up and he was calm on the drive home. Thank you so much for taking such good care of my sweet kitty. He looks incredibly handsome and matted fur is now very smooth and healthy.” – Anna-Lucita Sharleen, Facebook
Fantastic…gentle with pets
“Pretty Kitty was fantastic with Rocky. I’m not sure how they did it but his bath and shave went well for them. He was gentle with them, when we tried it was cat scratch fever, lols. They kept us up-to-date as to (where) they were in the process of Rocky’s visit and when we could pick him up. They don’t use anesthetic which I liked. I’d recommend them for your cat’s grooming needs. I give them 5/5.” – Augr, Google Reviews
2. Fuzzy Furballs Grooming

Criteria | Ratings |
Experience and Expertise | ★★★★☆ (4/5) |
Communication and Customer Service | ★★★☆☆ (3/5) |
Price | ★★★★☆ (4/5) |
Fuzzy Furballs Grooming is a home-based grooming salon headed by Jonna Pitre. She is a master groomer, and appears to have been grooming for 10+ years.
We love that she is dedicated to her craft and the welfare of the pets in her care. Most reviews have been noting how gentle and caring Jonna is towards their pets, even the biggest, naughtiest ones.
We also love that Jonna puts the cats’ needs first and would inform you when they’re too agitated to finish the grooming process. She’s great at communicating what you need to know, and will give you honest advice should the situation call for it.
On the other hand, we do wish she were more transparent about her pricing. Unlike the rest of the groomers on this list, Fuzzy Furballs does not have a price matrix for her services.
We do know her rates start at $10 for basic services such as nail trimming. This is a fairly reasonable price for pet grooming, but depending on your pet’s temperament and condition you may be forced to pay up to a hundred or more.
Jonna also grooms dogs, although she has stopped grooming rabbits and guinea pigs due to her allergies.
Anyway, you may still want to take note of this if you have a particularly sensitive cat as dog barks can be stressful for them.
We’re also not too keen about the fact that her operating hours seem a bit inconsistent but we do understand that she juggles a business and a few other responsibilities on her own.
Nonetheless, we do love the services Fuzzy Furballs Grooming provides, and we believe Jonna to be a great groomer. We recommend calling ahead of time to talk about the state of your cat to figure out the possible rate she may charge you to avoid any surprises.
Pros
- One-on-one grooming
- Strong reputation as a gentle groomer
Cons
- No declared price list
- Not bark-free
Customer Reviews:
Prices are reasonable and fair
“Did a great job grooming my young kitten to help clean up his coat even though he was being a bit of a bumb. Gave me a heads up prior to picking up that my cat has reached his limit as she could not have fully dried him off. Prices are incredibly reasonable and fair.” Carmen Choo, Google Reviews
Wonderful, professional, and lovely experience
“We have recently adopted a long hair cat which has worsened my asthma. Our cat is not very easy to groom but Jonna provides wonderful service and care. She puts the animal’s welfare first. I would highly recommend her for your pet’s grooming needs.” Kim F, Google Reviews
3. Sublime Cat N Canine LTD.

Criteria | Ratings |
Experience and Expertise | ★★★★☆ (4/5) |
Communication and Customer Service | ★★★☆☆ (3/5) |
Price | ★★★★☆ (4/5) |
Sublime Cat n Canine Ltd. is a pet park, boarding, training, and grooming facility located in Northwest Edmonton. They have a team of qualified trainers and groomers led by Dawn, the owner, who is also the manager and obedience instructor.
We like that Sublime Cat n Canine offers a one-stop shop for everything pet-care-related, but we particularly like them for their grooming services.
Having a team that knows how to handle pets is an advantage, particularly for cats. If they can train ‘em, they can groom ‘em.
We also like that they have reasonable rates for their services, with plenty of add-ons to choose from.
That said, being a kennel, they do tend to have plenty of other cats and dogs around, so they’re definitely not bark-free. This may be a con if your cat does not do well in a crowded environment.
We also think they could use some work in the customer service department.
While the staff are generally happy and friendly, they focus more on keeping the pets in the kennel company and working the lobby. As such, they may not be as responsive on the phone or on other online communication platforms.
On the other hand, they do make sure to never leave your pets alone, so that’s the bright side of that.
Pros
- Offers pet boarding and training along with grooming
- Reasonably priced packages
Cons
- Not very responsive via calls
- Not bark-free
Customer Reviews:
Eased anxieties and answered all questions
“First time cat grooming experience was great! He got a bath, nails clipped, and a great shave with a mohawk. Good price, very professional result. I will go back. They were friendly and clean and a pleasure to deal with!” – Kent, Google Reviews
Very reasonably priced and exceeds expectations
“We brought one of our cats in for a de-shedding appointment. He’s got a VERY thick coat and is constantly shedding heaps of fur despite regular brushing at home (not a health issue, it’s just how he is). When I picked him up, he looked very calm and relaxed – a great sign that the experience wasn’t stressful for him – and when we got home, I was able to see how smooth, shiny, and less dense his coat was. He’s shedding way less, is super clean, and smells incredible! We’re incredibly happy with our cat’s grooming experience at Sublime and will absolutely be returning in the future. Thanks so much to Babu’s groomer for a job incredibly well done!” – Kristen Antonello, Google Reviews
4. The Posh Paw Pet Spa

Criteria | Ratings |
Experience and Expertise | ★★★★☆ (4/5) |
Communication and Customer Service | ★★★★☆ (4/5) |
Price | ★★★★★ (5/5) |
The Posh Paw Pet Spa definitely earns its name with its team of experienced pet stylists. Both their onboard stylists (who are also the owners) have been in the business of grooming for 10 years.
Jennifer Bilodeau specializes in hand stripping and scissoring and is working toward a master certification through the International Professional Groomers association.
Kimiko Sawada, meanwhile, is already a certified cat groomer through the National Cat Groomer’s Institute of America. Kimiko also has education and experience in dog training and behavior modification, something which can be useful in grooming difficult cats as well.
Aside from their professional groomers, we like that The Posh Paw provides excellent customer service. The staff are kind and helpful and will greet you like a long time friend when you come in.
We also appreciate the effort they put into making sure their space is clean, fresh, and comfortable for your pets. They have a separate kennel room as well as a custom bathing area which includes a walk in bathtub.
We like that Posh Paw provides some of the best quality grooming in Edmonton, but we did notice that they have some of the highest rates around.
They also cater to dogs, so they’re definitely not bark-free. They also tend to be a bit hard to book because of demand, so we suggest calling at least a few days or weeks ahead of time.
They offer one on one consultation so even if your cat is fussy or sensitive, you can trust that they will be taken care of in Posh Paw.
Pros
- One-on-one consultations
- Comfortable and clean space
Cons
- Rates are more expensive than the average groomer in Edmonton
- Not bark-free
Customer Reviews:
Welcoming and listens to requests
“We love The Posh Paw Pet Spa!!! Every time we come in we are greeted like long time friends! Everyone is so welcoming and they listen to all our requests. The groomer is so sweet with our dog, she treats him like he is her own. I feel so comfortable leaving my dog there as I know he is in the best hands.” – Shannon Liette, Facebook
You get what you pay for
“We have been taking our Shiba here for a few years. Our girl always comes back looking amazing! Especially yesterday, I’m not sure who did her grooming but whoever did, did an absolutely amazing job! Our girl has never been so fluffy and soft! The staff is also always so kind and helpful, I have no problem trusting them with our dog. I see some reviews saying the services are pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for! I completely recommend taking your pets here.” – Pretty Plum Boutique, Google Reviews

6. Catty Canines Inc.

Criteria | Ratings |
Experience and Expertise | ★★★★☆ (4/5) |
Communication and Customer Service | ★★★★☆ (4/5) |
Price | ★★★★★ (5/5) |
The owner of Catty Canines, Chelsea, is a certified master cat groomer through the National Cat Groomers’ Institute. Many of their staff are also working to attain that certification.
The great thing we noticed about Catty Canines is they take the time to get to know and earn the trust of your cats when they come in for grooming. This makes grooming less stressful for your pets.
We also like that they have well-priced packages and add-on services. They have a cheaper price point compared to the rest of this list.
One thing we noticed is that they now require clients to maintain a schedule of 16 weeks or less for their pet appointments. Due to this, Catty Canines may not be the best option for pet owners who just want to give their pets the occasional spa day.
If you’re up for a commitment, Catty Canines is a great choice. They also provide creative cuts so if you want to make your cat stand out with a fashionable hairstyle, here is the best choice for you.
We also like that they donate nail clippings to animal charities. All in all, we recommend Catty Canines for cat owners who want to sign up their cats for regular cat grooming at a reasonable price.
Pros
- Relatively cheap packages and services
- Provides creative cat grooming
Cons
- Not bark-free
- Requires clients to commit to maintain a schedule of 16 weeks or less
Customer Reviews:
Staff are friendly, personable, and builds relationship with the animals
“This place is amazing! The staff are friendly and personable, and want to build a relationship with the animals and earn their trust. I was super hesitant to bring my foster cat in who does not tolerate being restrained but the job got done (to my surprise) and she smells great, looks great and isn’t traumatized! They have definitely earned my trust. Thanks for all you do, Catty Canines.” – Lauren Kimberly, Google Reviews
Informative, patient, and did a great job
“We took Toast Malone to see Chelsea and are very happy with the results. She was informative, patient and did a great job. We will be returning for sure. Thanks for taking the time to explain what you were doing and what we needed to improve on.” – Caleigh Bell-Morena, Google Reviews
