MetalMark was originally known as Stamco Engravers with origins that date back to 1949, with humble origins in industrial tools. Today, they continue their craftsmanship to create custom engravings for commercial and private clients in the heart of Edmonton.

As their name implies, they specialize in metal products with a special focus on stainless steel. However, they can also work on other surfaces such as aluminum, brass, copper, plastics, and acrylics.

Specializing in router engraving, their industrial clients often request equipment control panels, safety signs, and lamacoids, to name a few. So whether you need to label a safety hazard or need machine controls to be visible even in the harshest conditions, MetalMark has you covered.

This local company can also make unique one-of-a-kind gifts with traditional and laser engraving. If you don’t have a product blueprint, MetalMark has its own in-house design team that can help you out.

However, they take pride in their made-to-order policy which highly encourages clients to come in with their personal designs. This can work in your favour since they charge extra for use of their graphic team’s skills.

For gift ideas, we like that MetalMark creates customized branding irons that can be outfitted with traditional high-heat handles or more modern electric-powered handles. They also make dies, stamps, and touchmarks from machined steel which can have your name, logo, or any other personalized image or text displayed.

Pros

  • Specializes in customized stainless steel engravings
  • Creates customized branding irons with electric handles
  • In-house graphic design team

Cons

  • More experienced in industrial applications
  • No pre-made product line, everything made to order

A successful business is built on mastering your craft in order to deliver a full range of services to the customer. Chris Henning recently brought his pet’s urn for engraving and was pleased with the helpful staff:

“I brought my Pet Urn in to have my Cat’s information put on it.  I was just going to put a Sublimated plate with his Picture and information on it.  Kim, informed me that Sublimation can fade over time. So she recommend that I laser engrave the top.  So I did both.  I was very please with the work that they did and the quick turn around.  Highly Recommend Awards Unlimited.”

Catelyn Siracky had a similar experience at Awards Unlimited as she writes:

“I am impressed with the knowledge, professionalism and customer service this company has. I ordered a plaque with a custom logo and received a proof back quickly with a recommendation that helped it look better. It was ready to pick up fast. 10/10 will be coming back to them in the future.”
