One minor downside of that “blank-slate” arrangement is you must put more effort into styling the place up.

Celebrants expecting around 150 guests might want to give Amaleena Events a shot. The adaptable venue’s 4,000 sq ft hall is definitely built for that number.
Personally, what I like most is how they work closely with celebrants from planning through execution. Past clients say the same, with one summing up the provider as “warm, attentive, and genuinely invested.” But be warned: consults aren’t free.
Something else worth noting is the venue’s accessibility features. The majority of its entrances, parking spaces, and restrooms are meant to support guests of all abilities.
You’re looking at a single main hall commonly booked on weekends as well. Be quick to reserve.
Fortunately, caterers have on-site kitchens to use, which helps avoid food prep delays.

It’s not exclusively for large shindigs, if that’s what you’re thinking. We’re talking about an uber-flexible venue for both small and major celebrations here.
Where it stands out is in hosting open-air and community-driven parties. And they make sure to hire Edmonton-based businesses to provide the food, drinks, and entertainment.
There’s also a pop-up kiosk made of a modular sea-can structure, which can be turned into a bar, a themed lounge, a stage, or whatever function your party needs.
Clients and past event-goers, however, raised concerns about the sound quality. One aspect that’s often criticised is the overly loud volume.
And while rare, a couple mentioned discomfort with the nearby environment and isolated incidents involving the guests’ cars getting vandalised.

For us, LAST Modern Event Venue is best described as “intimate” and “inviting.” Its concept layout flows with soft lines, black accents, a 10 ft recessed arch, and chandeliers dangling from 16 ft ceilings.
The ladies behind the space are said to be pleasant to deal with, too. Those who booked them for planning and hosting assistance raved about the hands-on, patient, and compassionate support.
Your ideal date might not be available, though. This chic space is a local favourite for corporate gatherings and weddings.
Pricing is another point to consider. Versus the rates of basic halls, LAST’s may come across as expensive.
That higher cost does come with lots of perks, to be fair, mainly access to VIP parking, the in-house cafe, a customisable bar, and a seasonal patio.
Most clients also skipped extra costs for styling. As many claimed, “there’s hardly any need for extra décor.”

If you’re looking for an inclusive, sensory-based gym for a child’s birthday party, We Rock The Spectrum is a sensible choice. The kiddos get to explore a no-judgment play space here.
Open Play is the standout area. It has swings, zip lines, climbing structures, crash mats, and sensory toys for supporting both cognitive and physical development.
Once the kids need some downtime from that, there’s a dedicated room for managing overstimulation.
Pricing-wise, it’s not a bad spend, since you’re paying for two hours of gym access, and setting up and clean-up services. The multi-tier model also gives more flexibility for budgeting and payments.
Our biggest gripe? Catering isn’t part of the deal either. Only the Rock Unique package includes two boxes of pizza. The upside is that guests may bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages.
It can get booked out too, so reserving at least two weeks in advance is highly suggested…or you can switch to these equally banging venues for children’s parties.
Super friendly owners
We have been coming to WRTS Edmonton for over a year and a half, and our kids are always happy to be back. The way how everything is laid out, the fun toys, and the super friendly owners and staff make this place our kids’ favourite. I would encourage all parents, regardless if your child is neurodiverse or neurotypical, to visit We Rock The Spectrum Edmonton. I know they’ll fall in love with it!

We’ll definitely be back
Brought my 9 month old here for some playtime and we had a blast! The staff were wonderful. Everything was so clean and there were bins for stashing toys the babies had chewed on. So many different play areas to chose from, including one for babies and toddlers that’s enclosed. The sensory room was lovely. There are tables for crafts as well as big equipment like swings and zip line. Something for everyone and all ages. We’ll definitely be back! Just be aware the don’t sell food but they do have an area to eat if you bring your own.
