Celebrate Wins Right with These 5 Trophy Shops in Edmonton

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Customization and Design Options: I looked for shops that offer a wide range of customization—from engraving and logos to fully unique shapes and styles—so awards feel truly personal and event-appropriate.

Quality of Materials: I prioritized stores that use durable, high-quality materials like glass, acrylic, and metal instead of flimsy plastic that chips or fades quickly.

Customer Service and Turnaround Time: I favored shops that make the ordering process easy, even for last-minute requests.

Range of Products: I chose shops with diverse offerings—whether you need sports trophies, academic medals, corporate plaques, or quirky custom pieces for something more fun and casual.

Local Reputation and Reviews: Lastly, I factored in online reviews, repeat customers, and word-of-mouth praise from Edmonton locals to make sure each shop is trusted in the community.

Last summer, my niece’s soccer team got participation ribbons that looked like someone raided a birthday party supply bin. The kids didn’t mind—but the parents were definitely hoping for something a little more… official.

That’s when I realized how weirdly hard it is to find a proper trophy in Edmonton. Between limited hours, outdated designs, and confusing order systems, getting something custom-made shouldn’t feel this complicated.

So we went looking for local trophy shops that actually get it—places that make awards feel special without all the stress.

How much do custom trophies cost in Edmonton?

Custom trophies in Edmonton typically range from $15 to $150+ per piece, depending on size, material, and engraving. Bulk orders or fully personalized designs can cost upwards of $500.

What impressed me about HBA Engraving is that it may be a small, family-run shop, but they’ve got serious skills when it comes to laser engraving.

One thing that stood out is how they always send over digital proof before engraving anything. It takes the guesswork out and shows they want everything to come out just right.

They’re also flexible when it comes to materials. You can bring in your own item, like a keepsake or an old trophy that needs updating, and they’ll work with it without making things complicated.

Doug, who handles a lot of the engraving, was upfront and easy to talk to. He would even do test runs on tricky surfaces like stainless steel or coated drinkware to make sure the results were clean, which honestly shows a lot of care.

The only thing I’d watch out for is the pricing. With a $30 setup fee and $2 per minute of laser time, it can get a bit pricey if your design is detailed.

Pros

  • Family-run shop
  • High-precision laser engraving
  • Custom-focused
  • Digital proofs before engraving
  • Flexible with materials
  • Careful, hands-on process

Cons

  • Higher-end pricing

Fast, professional service

“A veteran owned business, Doug was extremely quick and professional when I needed a plaque engraving job performed at the last minute before an important event.”

Exceptional, timely service

“Doug went above and beyond when I needed a plaque done. He did everything perfectly, on time and was very accommodating. This will be my go to business for future projects! Very impressed and thankful! Lorrie”

What I like about gologo.ca is how much variety they offer when it comes to trophies and recognition awards. The shop’s selection also includes everything, from acrylic and crystal to metal, which gives customers plenty of flexibility.

My uncle, who organized a sports event in our area and worked with them for all the trophies and medals, had nothing but praise for the shop and how smoothly everything went.

He mentioned the shop had no trouble handling a fairly detailed order, with awards needed for different age groups and categories.

What also stood out to me was how they seem to balance quality with practicality. They would help you pick materials that looked professional but still stayed within budget.

I also like that they’re not just a trophy shop but a full-service operation—they also do things like branded merch and signage, which could be super handy when planning events.

The only thing that might trip some people up is just how many options they offer. Their catalog is huge, and if you’re not sure what you’re looking for, it can feel a little overwhelming.

Pros

  • Wide selection of awards
  • Full-service offerings
  • Custom-friendly process
  • Practical material guidance
  • In-house production

Cons

  • Overwhelming catalog

Great service and product quality

“Excellent service and quality of product. Very impressed with my first order and looking forward to working with them again!”

Personable, professional service

“Gologo is a wonderful company to do business with.  Michael is very personable and professional.  He listens to our wants and needs and helps develops products that fit our company image.  The products he suggests look amazing and always fit into our price range.”

Awards Unlimited has been around for over 50 years. Having been around that long, they’ve worked for a wide range of events, from school events to local sports tournaments.

Many of the former clients that I talked to appreciated how reliable Awards Unlimited was. They offer a full spread, from resin and crystal pieces to practical desk accessories and commemorative plaques.

Based on what I heard, they’re efficient and easy to work with. They’re good at meeting tight deadlines without sacrificing quality, which is very important when you’re organizing an event.

What also impressed me was that they handle everything in-house. They provide visual mock-ups before getting started, which really helps avoid design mix-ups and ensures clients get exactly what they want.

They also seem to have a strong setup behind the scenes, offering laser and rotary engraving, sand carving, and even embroidery.

My only critique is that their designs lean more on the classic side. If you’re looking for something sleek or more modern-looking, the selection might feel a little dated.

Pros

  • Over 50 years of experience
  • Dual CRS/CRM credentials
  • Advanced laser & sandcarving tech
  • Expansive showroom
  • Full in-house production
  • Wide range of products
  • Design previews provided

Cons

  • Traditional design style

Exceptional service with fast turnaround

“We prdered a trophy for one of our clients that is a non-profit. The quality of the work and the price point was excellent for their needs.

The order should have taken 7-10 business days,  Kim and the team turned this around in one day to accommodate a pick up while we were in the city and could avoid shipping costs the following week.

They went above and beyond and it is much appreciated!”

Consistently outstanding service

“Why do I keep coming back? It came down to top notch service. Very friendly. I found they will do all they can to get you the best product that is most appropriate for your needs. We have done items for personal and business use. On two occasions we had them recreate a plaque we had for years so we could have two identical plaques hanging next to each other. You can’t tell them apart. We ordered items for our community league which have been done quickly. We had some laser engraving done up for our Scout group which turned out even better than I had envisioned. Everything has been quick and the quality has been superb. Because we LIKE Awards Unlimited on Facebook I was lucky enough to enter one of their competitions and win a free rental of their large golden statue which I gave to my kids’ school. That was a huge hit and was really appreciated. Overall it has been a great experience.”

4. Columbia Awards

Columbia Awards made it to my list because of how well they blend traditional craftsmanship with modern engraving technology.

Their engraving setup is impressive. They use both CO₂ and YAG lasers depending on the material—CO₂ works well on acrylic, glass, and wood, while YAG is used for marking metals.

They also offer sand carving and rotary engraving for those who prefer a more classic, textured finish. Everything is done in-house, which helps them stay on top of quality and deadlines.

Their range includes not just trophies in acrylic and crystal but also medallions and items like donor bricks.

I like that they actually take the time to help customers find something that suits their event. One thing people consistently mentioned was how helpful the staff are when it comes to selecting the right materials.

Plus, they send visual mock-ups before production, which helps avoid last-minute surprises.

One thing to note is their return policy—custom items can’t be returned. They also aren’t liable for damage to items you bring in.

Pros

  • Blends tradition with modern laser tech
  • In-house productio
  • Helpful design support
  • Diverse product lineup
  • Hands-on customer support

Cons

  • Strict return policy

Exceptionally accommodating and fast

“I just wanted to write a review for Columbia Awards and the fine folks who own the business.  Recently we had an emergency engraving need for an award we were going to present, and they were very gracious in accommodating our needs.  They assisted with the set up of the message, Rush scheduled the engraving and had it back in our hands within 3 hours.

If you or anyone you know needs engraving or trophy/awards for an event, I would strongly recommend the wonderful people at Columbus Awards.

Thanks again on behalf of Metis Settlements of Alberta, and we will be bringing you more business shortly”

Incredibly accommodating and efficient

“Columbia Awards were extremely helpful with a rushed same day order.  With me living in a different province, it was difficult for me to have an order made for a friend’s birthday, but   Richard was accommodating, professional, and efficient.  He made my order happen.  I am beyond thankful that they were able to help me.  I called around and their pricing wasn’t even closed to matched, as well as their customer service.  If you’re looking for a place for your engraving needs, choose Columbia Awards!”

I ended up at House of Trophies while helping organize a small community sports day, and needed a proper trophy for the winning team.

A couple of people I knew had worked with them before and spoke highly of the service, so I decided to drop in and check them out.

They’ve been family-owned since 1978, and you can tell—they combine years of experience with genuinely helpful service.

Their selection ranges from budget-friendly resin trophies to more premium acrylic and metal options, so finding something that looked polished but didn’t blow the budget was easy.

The level of customization, even for just one trophy, is impressive. They explained the different engraving methods—CO₂ and YAG lasers for various materials and rotaries for a more classic finish.

I only had a rough idea going in, but they helped refine the layout, suggested a graphic, and sent over proof before production. The final piece looked far better than expected—clean lines, solid weight, and sharp engraving that gave it a real presence.

The only drawback was their hours—since they’re closed on weekends, it can be tricky if you’re working around a weekday schedule.

Pros

  • Long-standing local business
  • Custom-friendly
  • Versatile engraving options
  • Budget to premium range
  • Quality craftsmanship
  • Flexible order size

Cons

  • Closed on weekends

Timely, classy, and affordable

“Thank you for the excellent engraving job you recently did on my plaque. Even though it was such short notice and  during a busy season, you went above and beyond providing a classy wooden plaque that not only exceeded our expectations but was provided in a timely manner and at a very reasonable cost. Thank you everyone!”

Friendly, reliable service and excellent results

“They are a great business,  friendly people and did an excellent job with my order! Would go back to do business woth them again!”
