The Black Dog is my favourite place for a pint of beer in all of Edmonton. Open from 2PM to 2AM every day of the week, it is home to the most interesting cross-section of patrons one could imagine. The bar tenders are all friendly, honest, and great conversationalists. As a bonus, you can almost always get a pint of beer for $4, and on Sundays, Big Rock pints are only $3.75, which make them the same price as when I was an undergrad! Highly recommended.

A dinner at woodwork is cozy and very much alive. The tables are a bit small and close to one another;but makes for a intimate setting if you’re out with a significant other. The menu aren’t large and may present little choice for vegetarians/vegan patron. However, the food they do offer is very delicious and definitely worth a visit.

The food is great. Michelin star quality food basically. The servers are great or ours was. Big or substantial selection for drinks and beverages. Comfy, cozy, and modern feel to the restaurant while also being traditional or old at same time. Really great value. I’m definitely happy I choose to come here and eat with partner and friend. A great addition to Edmonton restaurants for sure and a cut above many. I recommend reservation for busy days and times (weekend).

The cocktails are always great. The Amazon is my favourite and I find myself craving it on the regular it’s so tasty! I love the try before you die promo and think it’s such a fun way to explore the world of cocktails. I always bring people here when I want to treat them to a great drink. It’s a bit pricey for me come in on a regular basis but for a treat or special occasion I’m happy to spend my dollars here.

A friend and I went to Clementine for the first time this past week, in the evening. We were seated between two tables that were rather close together. It was quite hard to hear in there with the din of the restaurant and our noisy table neighbours. The server was kind enough to move us to a table near the window when opportunity arose.
When our server first came around to ask for our drink order we had barely just gotten the menus. It took another 10 minutes for him to come back and get our order after that. The drinks took a while to arrive after we ordered them, but that was to be expected, due to their complexity. Mine, “Caballa,” was elegantly served in a whisky glass with a blackened orange. It was delightfully smoky. My friend’s drink which was more tropical in nature was served in an amusing parrot mug.
Our beef shin came out first. It was served with the freshest peas, pickled carrots and buttery mushrooms – a delightful flavor combination. The sourdough rye pancake with ham was sinfully saucy with its clover honey and swiss chard. I can see why this is a staple on their menu. It was comfort food classed up.
I would go back – I would love to try the rye sourdough tartine – a dish that has been on the menu since opening, and the pork rillons dish. Yum!

Great spot for after-work drinks, fancy foods, and retro tunes on the weekend. The kitchen serves fresh takes on bar food classics like burgers and nachos, complemented with plenty of vegan and gluten-free options. The basement features an event location that can also be rented. Always nice staff.
—Rita Neyer, Google Reviews
Great location, selection of food (lots of vegan options available) and awesome service! I really like that the space is good for accommodating large groups think: stagettes, office parties, etc I went here for a xmas party with about 10 people, we had a spacious booth, and our sever Marcel was fantastic! The Common also accepts reservations on weekends which I found that a lot of other places in the city do not. We were also all expecting one bill with an auto gratuity added (which we wouldn’t have minded) but our server surprised us by splitting our bills. As a former server, I was impressed and happy with this!
