Since we’re in West Edmonton and not very familiar with any clinic, we decided to research first. After asking around and researching online, we’ve found some great wellness centres that offer massage in West Edmonton.
Read on to see where to go in case you need a massage for relieving pain and relaxation.
How much does a massage cost in Edmonton?
A massage typically costs from $75 to $200, depending on the type of massage and session length.
Some massage clinics offer student massages and packages, which are more affordable. Expect that other specialised services are more expensive.

Therapeutic Body Concepts is a well-established massage clinic with four branches in Edmonton. We’re glad that they have a branch in West Edmonton, which makes their services more accessible to people like us.
The first thing that caught our attention was the clinic’s strong workforce. They’re composed of more than 10 registered massage therapists and acupuncturists. Their diverse team makes it easy to match clients with the right therapist for their needs.
This is also the reason why they have a nice list of services. From massage therapies to speciality services like face sculpting, they have it. They also have motor vehicle accident massage, sports massage, and lymphatic drainage service.
Many first-timers loved how friendly and comfortable the experience was. They said that their therapists walked them through the process, including what to expect and what the session would look like. For us, it’s important to have that kind of therapist.
We’ve also looked at their pricing. Their 30-minute massage costs $75, which is affordable. However, note that 5% GST is not yet included in their pricing.
On the flip side, we noticed that their online booking system sometimes fails. A client shared that after booking a massage the night before, they only received a cancellation via email 15 minutes before the scheduled time.

2. Balance Massage – West

Balance Massage has branches in South and West Edmonton, serving more people who are looking for comfort.
Surprisingly, they also have TMJ massage, ideal for those who suffer from temporomandibular joint disorders. In fact, a client said that after just one session, her neck pain was significantly reduced.
Clients also commend their therapists, like Bree, Pam, and Jessica. They said they pay attention to areas that need more work without being too invasive and hurtful. For us, their gentle approach is perfect for first-timers.
However, not all clients had the same experience. One customer shared that the therapist assigned to her only knows deep tissue massage and applied it throughout the session. That happened even after the client said she only wanted a relaxing massage.
On the bright side, we appreciate that they have a first-visit promo priced at $89.99 (60-minute session). The original price for their 60-minute massage is $105, which is still reasonable for us.

Massage Experts is a wellness centre specialising in Swedish, therapeutic, and deep tissue massages. What we really like about this clinic is that they have same-day appointments, which not all clinics offer.
They also have a first-visit promo priced at $99.99, which is a bit higher compared to other clinics. The prices, though, still remain reasonable. A 60-minute session of therapeutic massage costs $119.
If you want to save on every visit, they have a Club Mex membership. This includes a couple of benefits, like $20 off on a 60-minute treatment and a 15% discount on their retail products.
What also amazed us is that they have an application that you can download, known as The MEx app. You can book appointments, get directions, and view their latest updates on the app.
It’s also worth mentioning that they have family appointments and group reservations. To be honest, it’s the first clinic we encountered offering this kind of relaxation dates.
Downside? The clinic’s booking system has been a frustrating experience for some. One long-time client shared that despite confirming their appointment in advance, the clinic repeatedly rescheduled them.

Elite Massage Care Clinic, with its easy-to-access location in West Edmonton Mall, is another wellness centre you can try. Unlike any other clinic, Elite Massage Care is only focused on massage therapies.
They might have limited services, but this limitation gives them more time and attention for their clients. That means they’re not as busy as other clinics and they’re specialised in massages only.
When we say massage specialists, they offer a wide range of treatments. They offer deep tissue, sports, and hot stone massage. They also have an acupressure massage for those who have soft tissue problems.
The clinic is easy to locate, with a pleasant reception and comfortable space. Clients praise the therapists, especially Crux, a Colombian masseuse known for excellent pressure and technique.
Pricing is fairly reasonable at $75 for a 30-minute session. Add-ons like the $73 food massage feel pricey, but the quality generally justifies the cost.
While most clients enjoy their massage session here, one concern stood out to us. It’s the lack of soundproofing in rooms near the entrance. Since it’s located in the mall, it’s a bit noisy, which isn’t ideal for relaxation clinics.

Total Healing is a full-service massage centre offering a wide range of massage therapies, from therapeutic to sports massage.
If there’s a really affordable massage package, this clinic has it. Their 30-minute session is only $50. This is ideal for those who are on a budget or those first timers who want to see if this clinic is for them.
The only thing we noticed is that it has a very limited team. When we tried booking an appointment, there was only one practitioner available.
But despite their limited therapists, clients commended Mekdes (the therapist and owner) for the excellent massage. Customers also highlighted the clean place and how quiet the clinic was compared to others.
We also learned that they do direct billing with different providers, such as Manulife, Sunlife, and Blue Cross. This offers such great convenience for many clients.
Also, we appreciate the owner’s way of compensating a client. A customer’s appointment got cancelled, but Mekdes offered a free massage in compensation for the hassle.
