guide-to-ridgewood-edmonton

Ridgewood is a welcoming community made up of the neighborhoods Bisset, Minchau, and Weinlos. Founded in 1982, Ridgewood is a melting pot of various cultures and lifestyles – you can find plenty of green spaces and even a nice casino to try your luck out!

Where is Ridgewood?

ridgewood-edmonton-map

Ridgewood is located in the east-central part of Mill Woods, Edmonton. The heart of this friendly, close-knit area is the Ridgewood Community League Hall on Mill Woods Road East and 37 Avenue.

What is the main street in Ridgewood?

While Ridgewood doesn’t have one singular “main street,” the community is framed by a couple of key roads that make it easy to navigate.

Bordered by 50 Street to the west and 34 Street to the east, these two streets are your go-to routes for getting in and out of this neighborhood.

How to Get to Ridgewood

Via tram: Take the Edmonton Transit at Quarters Stop, then hop off at Grey Nuns Stop in Ridgewood. This will only take 20 minutes.
Via bus: Take the Line 053 bus at Coliseum Transit Centre Bay L in Edmonton, then alight at 50 Street & 34 Avenue in Ridgewood. This is a direct trip, and you don’t need to make any transfers along the way.
Via taxi or private car: From 103a Ave NW, head east and turn right onto 100 St NW. Follow McDougall Hill Rd NW and cross the Low-Level Bridge onto Scona Rd NW. Continue along Connors Rd NW and 90 Ave NW, then take a right onto 50 St NW. After 5.8 km, turn left onto 38 Ave NW, which becomes Mill Woods Rd E. This will lead you to the Ridgewood Community Garden at Minchau Park.
