What to Expect
Your entire family will see the world-famous production of Beethoven Lives Upstairs
It centers on a lively exchange of letters between young Christoph and his uncle regarding this “madman” who has moved into the upstairs apartment of Christoph’s Vienna home.
During the play, audiences will be captivated by more than 25 excerpts of the master’s music, including the Moonlight Sonata, Für Elise, and the great Fifth and Ninth Symphonies.
These songs will be magically woven into the drama as two actors share their anecdotes and observations based on true incidents from the composer’s life.
Besides the dramatic aspect of it, this engaging concert also depicts the history, making it really the ideal way to introduce your child to classical music.
Beethoven Lives Upstairs is approximately 50 minutes in length, which is why it is recommended for audiences aged five and up.
There will be two showings, the first at 1:30 PM and the second at 4:30 PM.
If you enjoy the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra's performances, you should know that they have a variety of concerts scheduled throughout the month, perfect for music lovers.
