What could be better than treats and lattes in the dead of winter? Hardly anything, which is why all of our staff was thrilled to learn that the Edmonton Sweet Treats & Latte Festival returns for a third year, with even more delectable desserts and drinks to enjoy.

The event is returning to Old Strathcona from February 4th to February 20th, so put sweet treats and coffee on your February to-do list this year.

What to Expect

The Sweet Treats & Latte Festival will bring new cafés and bakeries offering some of Edmonton's best coffee, tea, and desserts to bring out the warmer winter.

Just like the previous years, visitors who treat themselves more will have the chance to win prizes through a brand-new-for-2023 Sweet Treats & Latte Festival coffee card (you can pick one up at any participating location).

Expect to win a “Treat Yourself” prize pack worth $150+ with gift cards and prizes once you collect at least 10 stickers.

Other ways to win rewards include filling your social feed with photos of #SweetTreatsYeg and posting a photo from the giant doughnut bench.

Now, what makes the event much more exciting this year is that you can enjoy it with your four-legged friends.

You heard it right. They will be offering pet treats too!

You can bring them with you to enjoy a lactose-free frozen yogurt or even a frozen hot cocoa. Both are healthy takes on treats, so there's no need to be concerned – simply enjoy the stores and services with your pet by your side.

Everything about the event may sound pricey, but that’s not totally the case. This is a low-cost food festival, with featured items ranging from $5 to $10.

It's also free to attend, so it's as simple as paying for what you eat. But what makes it unique is that you're supporting local businesses.
