The 4 Places with the Best Brunches in Edmonton

The Best Brunch in Edmonton
We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Brunch is a delightful hybrid meal where breakfast and lunch meet under a canopy of leisure and indulgence. It’s a special time when it isn’t weird to enjoy an alcoholic beverage before noon, so long as it has a modicum of nutritional value like a mimosa or a Ceaser; when it’s perfectly reasonable, after eating a plateful of blintzes or waffles or whatever, to snap your elastic-waisted pants and declare you’re going back to bed. Dive into our curated selection of Edmonton brunch spots below and remember, the early bird might get the worm, but the late riser gets brunch, and that’s the tastier deal.

One of my favourite brunch spots! Not sure I’ve had better waffles elsewhere in the city.  Great selection. Nice ambience. Love the lighting in there.  It’s cramped at times when it’s busy. Having De Capo next door adds for a nice coffee experience as well. Would highly recommen

One of the restaurants I chose to visit on my first trip to Canada was De Dutch. Located in downtown Edmonton and within walking distance of several hotels, this restaurant offers delicious dutch cuisine in a cozy atmosphere. The prices are a bit higher than your average breakfast, but it shows it in quality. Staff was relatively friendly though a bit overworked so they didn’t stick around for questions. There was no initial wait for a table, however as it got busier the host at the front of the restaurant stepped away to help, resulting in a few patrons having to wait. All in all though a fantastic breakfast for my first day in Canada.

Great menu, excellent service. I had three side orders – hash browns, scrambled eggs, and toast for about ten dollars. The bottomless coffee was over $3.00 and I will avoid it next time. Nice restaurant. I will definitely return.

Take a look at what people are saying about their service:

I come here for the espresso…and the cinnamon buns…the rest of the menu…and the beer…and the fantastic staff. This place is just amazing.

For the vegans and vegetarians, they have a lot of options, almost 1 to 1. And they are good.

—Kadi, Google Reviews

This place is extremely popular and busy, and is a solid choice for dining in Edmonton. They are open all day and make great food, whatever time you arrive. Their chicken and waffles was one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in the city. The service has always been great, especially considering how busy they usually are. They also have a very well-stocked bar and this place continues buzzing into the night. Popular for a reason, local legend in the vibrant neighborhood of Garneau.
