Some men shrug off stiffness and soreness, thinking it will go away on its own, but it rarely does. After weeks of long workdays and intense gym sessions, my muscles had built up so much tension that it started affecting my everyday movements.
Desperate to find relief, I booked for a male massage. That experience was so effective (and honestly, so enjoyable) that I made it a mission to try more of them across Edmonton.
After talking to my friends and other locals and firsthand testing, here are the male massage services in Edmonton that stood out!
How much does a male massage in Edmonton cost?
A male massage in Edmonton cost between $80 and $150 per hour, depending on the type of massage and the therapist’s experience. Specialty treatments like sports or aromatherapy sessions can go up to $180 per hour.

Muscle Release Massage Therapy Inc. has become my go-to spot for male-focused massages in Edmonton. The space feels professional without being intimidating. That makes it easy to relax and focus on the massage itself.
Alix Claydon Sutherland leads the team, and you can tell they have a lot of experience. They always find the spots where I hold tension and know just how to work them out.
I’ve always been impressed by how consistent their deep tissue and therapeutic massages are. The therapist takes time to find the real source of the tension rather than just gliding over sore spots.
The pressure is firm but never too much, and I always feel more relaxed with every movement. After a session, I feel clear-headed and loose for days.
Booking is simple through their online system, and I like that they offer gift cards since it’s an easy way to share something that actually helps people unwind.
The clinic does not have BBB accreditation, but the excellent massages and their focus on men’s needs are why I return.
Highly effective
“My first experience with Muscle Release Massage with Calvin was awesome. That was my first massage after 3 years without and he worked on those sore spots for me. There were definitely tears when the calf muscles were done but I sure felt a lot better afterwards. Definitely recommend going to Calvin. I’ll try the hot stones next time.”

Comfortable and convenient
“I went for a Rapid Release treatment at Muscle Release Massage shop today! Cozy and comfortable in a very convenient location. I am waiting for knee surgery, so my leg muscles are working overtime to compensate.
I just had my second session today and noticed a big improvement from last week. Of course, I do my home exercise program and pool walk 3 x a week. Thank you, Trisha. I look forward to seeing you next week for another session to experience less pain and greater mobility!!
If you feel stiff and sore, let Trisha help to get your body moving better and in balance ✨️ 👌”

2. Pure Wellness

Address: 101-1921 91 Street SW
Phone: +1 (780) 970-7873
Business hours:
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pure Wellness has built a strong reputation in Edmonton since opening in 2010.
What caught my attention first was their focus on overall well-being rather than quick fixes. They treat health as something ongoing, not just something to address when pain appears.
I visited after playing basketball for the first time in months. My legs were sore, and my back felt tight from the sudden activity. The therapist immediately noticed the areas where men often carry tension and focused the session there.
The massage really helped my body recover. He worked carefully on the tight spots in my back and calves, using controlled pressure that felt intentional, not just deep for the sake of it.
By the end, my muscles felt looser, and my movement felt smoother.
I also appreciated how their holistic approach goes beyond massage. Acupuncture, fitness training, and group classes show that they treat the body as a whole. This approach is great for men who want to stay active and prevent injuries.
Booking was easy, and their direct billing made the process hassle-free.
I learned from my friend that their prices have increased recently, but the value for money seems to still be there.
Consistently excellent service with professional staff
“Our family has been going to Pure Wellness since 2015. Even after they moved to the new location, we followed. That shows how much we enjoy our experience here and appreciate their service. We like the cleanliness, the professionalism of the staff and owners, the timeliness, and the overall massage delivery. When it comes to scheduling, they are very responsive and accommodating, particularly in managing appointments for four of us now, which is sometimes difficult with our busy schedules.
A special shout-out to Erin L. My wife and I like strong pressure deep-tissue massages, and she always delivers every time. Many times, she will also go above and beyond to help schedule our family appointments.
We recommend Pure Wellness to our family and friends and will recommend it to other Google review readers as well.”

Personalized and effective massage
“Yesterday I had the pleasure of seeing Paige! I told her a bit about what was going on and she was very helpful and gave me some homework to help worth my chronic pain issues. The massage was catered to what we discussed and it was so refreshing having someone so in tune with the muscles of the human body! I, of course, booked in again to see her as I trust her abilities and I should point out her kindness was immediately what made me feel at ease, which is very important, I feel, when finding a massage therapist!!”

3. Integrated Therapies

Address: 10065 80 Ave NW
Phone: +1 (780) 432-4803
Business hours: Monday to Sunday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Integrated Therapies is well known in Edmonton, and for good reason. They focus on finding and treating the real cause of tension instead of just covering up pain.
From the moment I experienced their massage, it was clear they pay close attention to how the body moves and reacts.
I had a session with Mariano, who is skilled in deep tissue, and myofascial release. He used just the right amount of pressure and carefully worked on the tight spots.
By the end, my shoulders and back felt much looser and worked better. The relief lasted, and I really felt refreshed.
Her techniques seemed to work especially well for men. She focused on the spots where tension often builds up from work or spots.
The studio is easy to find and offers free parking. Inside, it feels calm and professional.
I also liked that their holistic approach goes beyond massage. They offer acupuncture, private yoga, and other wellness services, which makes the studio feel like a full-service care center.
The only drawback is that you can’t just walk in; you have to book an appointment ahead of time.
Consistently excellent service with skilled therapist
“Jira is hands down the best massage therapist in Edmonton. I’ve been seeing her for over 2 years and every session is consistently amazing. She knows exactly how much pressure to apply, always finds the problem spots, and works out the tension without it ever feeling uncomfortable. I always leave feeling loose, refreshed, and pain-free. I highly recommend her!”

Effective service
“I have had two massage visits with Christina, and both were very good. I have bad lower back pains and typically when I go to a massage therapist, I leave not really thinking much work was done. With her I leave every time feeling a lot better. She really digs into your knots and works the issue that you’re having”

Business hours:
- Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM – 9:00 PM

Muscles Matters immediately stood out as a place where men can feel comfortable and understood during a massage.
The clinic focuses exclusively on massage therapy. That focus shows in how deliberate and skilled the treatments feel.
The therapists are highly trained and selective. Knowing this gave me confidence that my session would target my main concern areas: shoulders, neck, and lower back.
I booked a session with Richard after hearing from a friend who is a multi-sport athlete. He had several massages here and said Richard doesn’t disappoint.
Richard was very attentive during my session. He checked in often to make sure the pressure felt right.
The experience is enhanced with hydrocollator moist heat packs and signature orange ginger oils. Small touches like herbal tea and fruit-infused water afterward made the session feel like a full reset.
It’s just sad to know that the clinic is closed on Sundays. This limits weekend options for anyone who has that day off.
Professional and skilled
“My son has received several massages from Richard at Muscle Matters. My son is a multi sport athlete and gets quite sore. He highly recommended Richard.
I have been looking for a masseuse who can provide a good deep tissue massage. Richard did not disappoint. I highly recommend Richard for a robust massage.
The staff are always polite and professional.
Great place!”

Knowledgeable therapist
“Booked my first time today at this clinic with Sean G. I was really happy with the massage. He gave good pressure and was very knowledgeable. I was having problems with my shoulders but he was able to release all the tension that had been bothering me. I’ll definitely be back”

5. Massage Heights

Address: 11972 – 104 Avenue NW
Phone: +1 (780) 665-4100
Business hours:
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Sunday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Massage Heights is a family-owned business founded in 2010. Over the years, they have created a space that feels welcoming and approachable, making it easy for men to feel comfortable and focus on their massage.
I booked a session with one of their male therapists and tried their Swedish massage. The therapist paid close attention to how my muscles responded, adjusting pressure and rhythm to match what felt best for me.
I also tried their stretch therapy, which is one of their specialties. It really helped loosen my tight muscles and improve my mobility. Combining the Swedish massage with the stretch techniques made the session feel complete but not too intense.
The clinic also adds nice touches that make the experience better. Warm hydrotherapy packs and calming oils help set a relaxing mood.
They offer memberships and have several locations in Edmonton, which makes it easier for men to book regular sessions and take care of their health.
The only downside for me was the upselling. I was encouraged to just add services like foot scrubs during the session, which felt a little pushy.
Professional and helpful
“Very professional people. Great massage. Really considered the areas I was struggling with an injury . Plus gave me tips on future exercises. Good value”
– Louise Otto, Google Review
