The Best Osteopaths in Edmonton Providing Hands-On, Holistic Care

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Experience: Our team favoured osteopaths and clinics with at least two-plus years of experience. To confirm, we examined directories (like CPSA) profiles, company histories, and memberships with organizations such as OSTCAN and AAOMT.

Credentials: The same sources were used to ensure that each pick has the proper degree, residency training, insurance, memberships, and licenses. Awarded options scored higher.

Location and Logistics: Only clinics within 30 minutes of the Edmonton CBD snagged a spot, verified using maps and test drives. Features such as wheelchair accessibility, parking spots, and proximity to major roads, highways, or stops also mattered.

Service Range: We rated the entries’ service scope by looking into listings, websites, test calls/emails, and interviews, prioritizing clinics that offer manual therapy, assessment, diagnosis, and rehabilitation.

Pricing: Hourly and treatment rates were assessed relative to overall value to determine cost-effectiveness. Higher scores went to picks that maintain transparency and honour Alberta’s typical pricing.

The pace of living in Edmonton can be tough (or any big city, for that matter). It can be physically demanding, and musculoskeletal woes don’t make it much easier. Seriously, chronic pain and reduced mobility can throw your life off balance!

I’ve dealt with both. A couple of years ago, my body got shaken up so badly that my daily routines and productivity tanked.

What got me back on track were sessions with local osteopaths. Their manual and whole-person approach has improved my body, headspace, and spirit.

If you’re after the same holistic care, the clinics below can offer that. And if you’re looking for extra pain relief, these massage spots can also help!

How much do manual osteopathic therapists charge in Alberta?

In Alberta, manual osteopathic therapists often charge $100–$150 every hour or $35 for a 15-minute session. Canadian insurance companies may cover the cost.
The price is typically shaped by location, credentials, experience, clinic type (general vs specialized/private), and session length.

Believe Osteo has a treatment for nearly every twinge. Osteopathy may be their primary approach, but modalities such as Myofascial cupping and hot stone massage can be added to targeted programs.

Patients who’ve been dealing with the same pain for years found it effective. Some even told us their three-year-long aches eased up after booking sessions with Paolo Manalo, the resident DOMP!

Rightly so, we gave the guy a shot, and his corrective adjustments and mastery of trigger points did wonders for our sore muscles and joints. The results started showing by the second or third appointment.

Paolo calmly talking us through the entire process definitely helped. His easy-to-digest explanations broke down the root causes and the personalized exercises needed to keep the aches from coming back.

However, keep in mind that Believe Osteo has a small team, having only two medical pros around, and it’s relatively new, having opened in 2021.

Pros

  • Most patients see results fast
  • Provides complementary therapies
  • Open daily
  • Calm environment

Cons

  • Relatively new
  • Small team of two medical practitioners

Awesome Massages

I have to say this has to be the best place to go, I had issues with my back where I could barely stand or walk, Physio wasn’t doing what I needed, came here and after about 3 sessions I was walking again. Paolo, thank you! Also Daniel does awesome massages as well. Would recommend them 100 percent!

Lasting Results

As a person with chronic muscle knots and having tried massage, physio and of course medication for 30 years Paolo is the first to treat me with lasting results. He knows exactly the trigger points to work to relieve radiating pain. Highly recommend

Reset Wellness

reset-wellness

Address: 10429 79 Ave NW 2nd Floor

Contact Details: +1 780-485-7640

Operating Hours:

  • Mon – 11 am to 6 pm
  • Wed – 10 am to 6:30 pm
  • Thu – 10 am to 7 pm

Website

Located in Old Strathcona, Reset Wellness is best for building body and mind resilience.

Lloyd Chung is their go-to osteopath, and he can perform a variety of manual therapies. Think MFR (reduces pain by targeting connective tissue) and cranial sacral therapy (eases tension through gentle skull and spine massage).

Regarding rates, most treatments go for $120 per hour, but you can score massages for as low as $80 (30 minutes). Students and seniors enjoy a 10% discount!

As for the “mind resilience” bit, it’s provided by Reset Wellness’ partner counsellors. Big life changes and bad habits are some concerns they sort out.

We’re not fans of the clinic’s three-day schedule, though. Other picks here are open for more days.

Spotting the entrance could also be tricky for first-timers, as it’s fairly hidden in a back alley.

If there’s a silver lining to that, it’s certainly the zen atmosphere.

Pros

  • Open for over 8 years
  • Reasonable pricing and discounts
  • Offers physical and mental therapies
  • Highly relaxing atmosphere

Cons

  • Only open for three days
  • Hard-to-find entrance

Lovely Space

Lovely experience ! The staff went over every possible detail to ensure I felt relaxed and comfortable during my float. As a first timer I had a wonderful experience and would definitely go again! I highly recommend reset wellness ! What a lovely space and calming environment !

Great Therapeutic Massage

I had a pleasant experience at Reset Wellness. Being my first time in floating, they were great at answering my questions and was very accommodating. I also had a great therapeutic massage by Brad who focused on my weak and troubled areas after acquiring many injuries from playing high level sports in the past. Overall, great customer service! I would recommend them to everyone.

Seasoned hands run Waygood Manual Osteopathy. We mean Kati Waygood, an RMT, osteopath, and kinesiologist whose career started in 2010.

The clinic itself is older than a decade, first opening in 2015. That makes it our longest-running entrant!

In terms of specialties, Kati has two: manual osteopathy and osteopathic massage. Both are said to be effective, but the former is more optimal for targeted pain management, while the latter is better suited for general aches.

But that’s about the sum of her offerings. Next to the service lists of others, it’s quite lean.

Team size is another light area; most of the work lands on Kati’s plate.

Fortunately, her rates are tweaked for Edmonton locals. Both her manual osteopathy and osteopathic massage services cost $150 an hour.

Long-term plans can also be arranged. They’re pricier, yes, but you’re paying for flexible scheduling perks and support for complex issues.

Pros

  • Open since 2015
  • Can set flexible and long-term plans
  • Reasonable pricing
  • No referrals needed

Cons

  • Small team
  • Fewer services than competitors

Easy to Chat With

Been to Waygood Manual Osteopathy many times for osteopathic treatments. It’s been a few years since I last saw Kati but went for an ongoing manual osteopath treatment ($135.00 + GST) when I was back in town. She’s easy to chat with, has good pressure and always finds the spots that bother me.

Highly recommend Kati, she’s the best!

Friendly, Kind

Kati is phenomenal, she does amazing work getting rid of tension/soreness in my chest, back, triceps, head, neck and shoulders and her exercises help to relieve tension and shoulder pain in between visits. She is so friendly, kind, and does a vert thorough massage always making sure I am comfortable!

Renewed Manual Osteopathic & Wellness Clinic

Address: 9130 23 Ave NW

Contact Details: +1 587-498-8142

Operating Hours: Mon to Sat – 7 am to 9 pm

Website

We love the customer care of Renewed Manual Osteopathic & Wellness Clinic. Our team wasn’t troubled with booking snags and got a proper welcome from their staff.

That said, first-rate manual osteopathy is still the number one reason we’ll book return visits. Jovy and Sarah were particularly skilled at decreasing our muscle pain and spasms.

Both are reliable for treating injuries or conditions such as osteoarthritis and tendinitis, too. Past the solid record, they have the degrees and tech to perform science-backed add-ons like shockwave treatment.

Renewed isn’t a bad spot for relaxing either. You see, they provide Beautician bundles, featuring detox body wraps, eye bag treatments, and facials (something these beauty clinics also have).

The downside is they’ve been around for only three-plus years. Some clinics are nearing a decade, or already beyond it.

It would also be neat if discounted bundles for manual osteopathy and massage therapies were offered.

Pros

  • Large team
  • Offers shockwave treatments
  • Has beauty-related specials
  • Great for rehabilitation and relaxation

Cons

  • Relatively new
  • No massage therapy-osteopathy bundles

Welcoming Ambience

Rejuvenating, relaxing and renewing indeed. Smooth booking/reservation, friendly and accommodating employees and welcoming ambience.

I had a 90 mins massage . It was so good and really to the point massage . Thank you Perry , you are the best. I will definitely come back and look for you.

I’m looking forward to my next session.not just for the massage but more of their services.

Wonderful

I would recommend them as one of best professional Osteopathic. Sarah is wonderful to address the issue and she referred me further to Paramjeet Kaur one of the best resource they have got massage.. I have been visiting the center since January and have taken services for more than 10 times. Paramjeet goes extra mile to address the issue of any body ailment. I have been taking her services for deep tissue massage with body structure correction since starting and she is been so humble to do it patiently. I would really recommend both Sarah and Paramajit.. Thanks ..

Precision Manual Osteopathy

precision-manual-osteopathy

Address: 10510 180 St NW #101

Contact Details: +1 780-238-0062

Operating Hours: Mon to Fri – 9 am to 7 pm

Website

Precision Manual Osteopathy’s treatments are gentle to the wallet. On-site fees hover between $35 (15 minutes) and $120 (60 minutes), with seniors and students eligible for a sweet 20% discount.

The question is, do they get results? It’s a solid yes for the clients we spoke to, most of whom struggled with sports injuries, sciatica, arthritis, spinal decompression, and migraines.

And here’s the unique part: you may kiss travel fatigue goodbye! Precision Manual Osteopathy can come to you, for an extra charge, of course.

Our biggest gripe, however, is that they’re short on complementary therapies. It’s all osteopathy treatments, so don’t expect nifty extras such as acupuncture or hot stone massages, which some names above provide.

You’re also looking at a one-practitioner clinic. Kyle Mlynarchuk is the only DOMP available, and that’s one reason the clinic has a wait list.

Pros

  • Open since 2016
  • Reasonable pricing and discounts
  • Can provide mobile services
  • Offers services for expectant mothers

Cons

  • Lack of complementary services
  • Limited to one osteopath

Great Bedside Manner

I’ve been coming to see Kyle for a few years now and I will be a lifelong client!!! I see him for chronic neck, shoulder trap, and upper body pain/tightness due to stress and being super active in my everyday. He is an instant healer and is now part of my wellness monthly ritual. I feel 1000x better after seeing him, he knows the spots, and he knows his stuff! Aside from the awesome work he does he also has great bedside manner. Great guy to talk to, he is very talented, resourceful, and reliable. I’m so glad I started my osteo journey, as it has helped me the most out of acupuncture, chiro, physio, and massage. If you find nothing is working for you then you haven’t gone to see Kyle yet. He will get you right. Rest assured you’re good hands if you book.

Made a Big Difference

Kyle is truly great at what he does. Both my husband and I go see him for chronic pain and his treatments have made a big difference for us. I have seen numbers of chiropractors, physio therapists, massage therapists and other professionals and Kyle has made the biggest impact on my day to day health.
