After asking around and reaching out to roofers, we narrowed down our options to companies offering the best roof inspections in Edmonton.

Their 16 years of experience are also another plus for us. We believe that they’ve already seen it all when it comes to Edmonton roofs. From harsh summer storms to winter, they know exactly how to spot roofing problems.
They also cater to both residential and commercial roofs, offering everything from inspection to repairs and maintenance.
Aside from that, we like that their roofing inspection go beyond just checking the structural integrity. They provide forward-looking recommendations for one to two years ahead, helping clients plan future maintenance and replacements.
Their 30-point inspection program is reassuring too. We like that they have their own program when checking roofs—complete with photos of problem areas and detailed repair estimates.
You can request an appointment on their site, but we find it tricky to proceed. We recommend calling them instead since they also tend to miss some quote requests.

We’re also satisfied that they inspect almost any type of roof. They inspect flat, sloped, and metal roofing. This makes them a solid choice, no matter what kind of property you have.
They also offer different types of condition assessment plans, from level 1 to 3.

“What a wonderful experience! I contacted Ironshield after a home inspector gave a horrendous roof inspection during the sale of our house. Sarah called me and booked a time to have her team come out and do a roof inspection from a ROOFER instead of a home inspector. They showed up the next day and did a thorough inspection that included photos and recommendations. We booked in the repair that cost 20X LESS then what the home inspector told their client. We scheduled the repair and all work was completed within 10 days. When I received the follow-up report, it was obvious how much care and attention to detail their roofer put into our roof. Bisson Roofing & Exteriors Ltd is another company offering roofing inspection. While it’s a relatively brand-new company, they don’t fall last when it comes to their inspection services.
We like how hands-on Dean, the owner, is. He immediately responds to his clients, be it via email or phone, setting his company apart from other roofing contractors.
Dean is also quick to visit the site. A client noted that Dean was able to inspect his roof the next day after she inquired. She’s also satisfied with how Dean described his findings and shared some recommendations.
Bisson Roofing & Exteriors Ltd also has competitive pricing and quotations, making it easier to plan your budget. They don’t overcharge and don’t offer unnecessary repairs to get more money out of you.
Just be mindful that they’re a small company with a limited workforce. But the good thing is that their size allows you to get a personalized, hands-on approach.

Although BulletProof Roofing only started serving clients in 2020, we still found them a pretty reliable and professional roofing company.
They offer roof replacement, roof construction, and roof inspection. What’s great is that they also accept clients who are only looking for roof inspections for preventive purposes or an insurance claim–not just those seeking repair or replacement.
We’re also impressed by their versatility. They’re experts in inspecting different types of slopes, like low and steep roofing. They also handle both residential and commercial projects well.
Another thing we like is their tiered inspection system, which lets clients pick a service that perfectly matches their needs.
They have a basic visual inspection, which is ideal for routine checks and preliminary assessments. Meanwhile, their detailed on-roof plan is great for proactive maintenance, pre-purchase, and leak detection.
Their comprehensive approach is best for warranty needs, replacement, and high-value properties.
They’ve also expanded their service area to Calgary, Red Deer, and Peace River, to name a few.
We’re just disappointed with their response time. It takes a long time before clients get a response to their quote requests. They’re also unresponsive via email, so we recommend calling them instead.

PJ Roofing is one of the long-standing roofing service providers we found. They’ve been serving Edmonton since 1982 – long enough to know the ins and outs of local roofing.
They also made their services available in other areas, like St. Albert, Stony Plain, and Beaumont. This gives homeowners a chance to get in touch with a reliable company regardless of their location.
Their 10-point roof inspection process is also smooth and stress-free. Clients note that the team arrives on time and is courteous. They explained their assessment and even helped choose materials that are both durable and visually pleasing.
They also use aerial measuring software to make their inspections more efficient and accurate. This way, it can speed up the quoting process.
Another thing we like is that they have an online booking system where you can schedule your appointment or quote request. This is pretty convenient.
However, some of their workers are not that friendly. A client inquired if they have a free inspection, but the staff rudely declined, saying they’re a business and are not working for free.
