If your family wants to experience classic fairytales and meet their favorite characters, all with a sprinkle of Christmas, Glow Edmonton should be on your list of events to attend this December.

With over 100,000 square feet of twinkling holiday displays to discover, this spectacular indoor light experience has become a holiday tradition for Edmonton families.

Glow 2022 kicks off on Thursday, December 1, 2022, and runs through January 1, 2023.

The theme of this year's Glow light festival is A Fairytale Christmas. It includes some exciting new activities and character appearances in addition to all of the festival's usual favorites.

Glow also believes in giving back to the community and encourages guests to bring a donation with them when they visit.

You can leave your unwrapped new toy at Santa's sleigh for the Toy Angels toy drive, or bring a non-perishable food item for the Edmonton Food Bank's food drive.

Take holiday photos and selfies galore in front of all the stunning light displays –  so don’t forget to get your phone fully charged before you arrive!

Other typical activities at the festival include swinging on the popular moon-shaped LED swings, strolling through the brilliant light tunnel, and striking a pose in one of the hanging picture frames.

Parents and children alike will be delighted to see the Glow-comotive and board for a leisurely trackless train ride at the enchanted Frosty Snowman Park. Your next stop can be a visit to the Magic Castle playground, where children can climb, slide, and create their own adventure.

Of course, no trip to Glow is complete without a visit from Santa Claus. Here comes the fairytale plus Christmassy adventure that everyone is looking forward to.

Families can assist Santa in locating his lost presents with the help of fairytale favorites in the enchanted light garden and atop the magical castle. You can win prizes too!

Don't miss out on their special events like the Glow Idol singing competition, Super Hero Day, Princess Ball, and a Glow without Limits sensory-friendly day for an even more exciting experience.

For adult guests, you can join the Rockin’ Reindeer Dance Party every Friday night to enjoy a wide variety of musical acts and live entertainment.
