Riverview Medical Centre is this cool mix of a regular family doctor’s office and a walk-in clinic, so no matter what you need, they’ve got you covered.
One of the things we really loved was their use of Medimap. This app allows you to check the wait time in real-time, get in line before you even get there, and get updates on your phone.
The clinic itself is also spotless. It’s modern, feels fresh, and even has a pharmacy, so you won’t have to run around after your appointment to get your meds.
They do all the usual stuff you’d expect, but they also offer some pretty specialized things, like cancer screenings, ECGs, and even driver’s medical exams.
One doctor who kept coming up in our conversations with former patients was Dr. Khalif. People say he’s very thorough, always double-checking everything. Though some mentioned his communication style could be a bit smoother, his dedication to patient health shines through, making it easy to see why he’s so valued.

“Wow. I used to think this clinic was sketch because it was in Beverly. I’m new to Edmonton and heard this area isn’t great at times. I took what I thought was a risk, and stopped by, as it’s close to my home. I’ve been back multiple times since. From start to finish I received excellent customer service. Both doctors here are super helpful and normally I can get in right away. Pretty busy past 7pm but that’s almost to be expected. “I walked in in fairly ruff shape spent close to 20 hours in waiting rooms at hospitals trying to get anti biotics for a large blood infection i was having. Waiting room was busy i did not expect to get in for a minimum of 5 hours but to my surprise i was in and out with no appointment within an hour. Nurses were fantastic very kind to me. Doctor was very very good. Easy to understand gave me my diagnosis and options along with a prescription. The pharmacy was in the lobby of the medicenter which was amazing. Like i said i was expecting to have to sit and die in awaiting room for hours on end and i was in and out within an hour with everything i needed i will only go to this clinic from now on. Oh ps the chairs in the lobby are soft and cozy its amazing.”

They’ve got the experience and the equipment to handle a whole bunch of different situations, and they’re all about getting you treated the same day. After all, nobody wants to wait around when they’re feeling lousy.
One thing that really stood out to us was their hours. They’re open later than anyone else on our list, which is a huge bonus when those unexpected health issues appear after work or on the weekends.
When you walk in, you’ll be seen by a triage nurse who determines your situation’s urgency, making sure those who need help the most get it first. Plus, they have a lab and X-ray facilities in the clinic, meaning you can get diagnosed and treated faster.
Wait times, though, can be a bit long, according to some of the folks we talked to.

“I have had the worst nosebleeds for the past few weeks, and the ENT clinics I was referred to by my family doctor were all booking into the summer. I knew I couldn’t be having a nosebleed everyday until then so I tried going to other emergency/walk-in clinics who all said either the doctor doesn’t do the procedure, or that I probably will just get my nose packed if anything and sent home. After many many phone calls and asking around, I made it to this clinic, and was able to see someone within the hour. I did come right at opening time at 5pm so the line was not bad, and every single staff I encountered were incredible healthcare practitioners. Receptionists? LPNs? Were very efficient and kind, and RN Ashley was clearly knew her stuff — thorough and super professional. Lastly, Dr. Kadri was SO kind and empathetic, and I think I’ll honestly try coming here again if I ever need to visit urgent care at all”

Was advised to go here by an 811 agent for a procedure. Even though the clinic didn’t offer the procedure I needed, the staff there were friendly, outgoing, and patient with everyone I saw go in. The Nurse that triaged me (PJ) was so kind! She phoned another clinic to make sure they do the procedure and check on the wait time for me before I left. She asked me questions about my symptoms and offered some medical advice that no Dr has offered me in the 3 years I’ve been dealing with said symptoms. Thank you!

“We have been coming here regularly for a couple of years now. Dr. Felade has become my family doctor (and he sees my younger son) and Dr. Humphrey sees my older son.
