The staff is all incredibly wonderful and super accepting and LGBTQ+ friendly. The price to get in is usually $10, but have a pay what you can policy. No one gets turned away. —Vanessa Mulvey, Google Reviews
A really fun venue with an interesting layout. I like the use of a smaller stage for smaller acts, as it keeps the feeling more intimate than the full size stage behind it. There’s a lot of potential with such a setup and layout to create very cool music experiences. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and they obviously know how to show patrons a really great time. Good vibes from the whole place: everyone was just there to have a good time.
The act playing the night I went was obviously still in high demand when they called out their last song. Management actually offered to cover them for another set, which was really awesome. All in all I’m excited to check this place out again and if you’re a live music fan it’s definitely one of the coolest venues in town. Thumbs up!

This was my first time staying at the Commercial Hotel and for what I payed for is what I expected. It is a little rough around the edges but the room I was in was comfortable and clean as was the shared bathroom(s) and shower room. The location is awesome! It’s directly in the middle of Whyte Ave party district and near all major bus routes. I would totally stay there again.
