Hands down my favourite Vietnamese restaurant in Edmonton! Everything I’ve had on the menu is delicious. Some of my favourite dishes are the imperial rolls, spicy beef satay soup, and the Shanghai noodles. The portions are huge! The vegetables are always so fresh and the cuts of meat they use in their dishes are really nice. Whenever I have ordered take out, the food arrives very hot and fresh. 10/10 would recommend!

This restaurant is close to where our local car mechanic is situated. During our car regular check-up, we walk down the street and passed by this. The restaurant is cleanly organized. The design is relaxing to the eyes. The service is awesome too and the menu has lots to offer. Since we are not that hungry we choose something good for too. For the amount of 24 dollars, two people can share. And it’s fulfilling. Their portion is quite big so always ask if per order is good for two than ordering way too much and you won’t be able to finish it. The food tastes good. By the way, tea is free and refillable. Comfort room or lube is available and it’s neat. Ladies section have a baby changing station. I highly recommend this restaurant to try. Keep it up. And thank you for your service.

One of the best Asian restaurants in Edmonton, Boualouang is a great pick for both Thai and Laotian cuisine.
The best part is that this place has plenty of vegan or vegetarian options. They have great dishes from Thai cuisine such as Masaman curry and Penang chicken, and Laotian fare such as coconut rice or beef and tripe lahp.
Great customer service and good food has set them as a favorite among locals. They have cheap food as well as nice options that can fill your tummy.

Tom Yum, Spring Rolls, Yellow Curry with Chicken and tofu, and Shrimp Pad Thai
My fave thai place was closed because somebody was getting married in there. So tried somewhere new and glad I did. Boualouang was dope. Soup Season continued with this bowl of tom yum which was super good. Had that good balance of sour flavor and had tons of mushrooms. It’s offered in 2 sizes and this bowl was only 6 bucks, great value. Spring rolls here were pretty average, they give you a lot though so that’s a plus. The yellow curry paired with chicken and tofu was excellent. I had my curry with extra spice cause sweating from your forehead when you eat is the move. So spice. Shrimp pad thai was a peanut lover dish. Thing was covered in deez nutz. It tasted pretty good as well. Lots of shrimp and good flavor.
Located in Chinatown, this place is really good. Service was pretty fast and they refilled our water pretty fast. Amazing. Now if only it were open late night like it’s next door neighbor, Sai Woo, then it’d be great. Definitely coming back just for that tom yum.

I had heard about this restaurant from a friend during a cooking course at NAIT.
I love Thai cuisine, so I brought my Mom and daughter right away.
It is clean, nicely decorated, and our server was well informed, very friendly, and accommodating!
The food was delicious, we had Avocado Spring Rolls, and Tom Yum Soup for appetizers. For dinner we ordered Pad Thai, Green Curry Chicken and Red Curry Chicken. For desert we had a mango custard with sticky rice, (wish I remembered the name) and it was all amazing!

I love Tropika said that they don’t have the western location anymore it is very convenient for me no they only have the southside location so I have to be going out of my way to get food from the restaurant but when I do I usually order five or six dishes to make it worth my while and have leftovers for a couple days

Holy crap holy crap holy crap! I never thought that I would be a person to expand my horizons food wise. How ever this little beauty stepped into my life via my girl friend and I gotta say, you must try it! Got ourself a medicated up and went. We managed to order a good spread on the menu. The roti is absolutely amazing! The chicken satay is some of the best chicken I have ever had! And the pineapple
Price is everything a pineapple fan would want (myself included).
The environment is very chill.. the back wall is done in a plywood that matches the roof. It actually looks kinda cool.
You will not leave this place empt stomach at all. Highly recommend letting your taste buds sample some of these dishes!
