Beyond accurate readings of skin layers, safety is one reason it’s a big deal. Technicians can work around the frontal bone while getting a clearer view of problem areas.
The clinic being ran by over 100 doctors further justifies its place here (Dr Panesar is a fan-fave). Based on visits and interviews, they explain Ultherapy clearly, ticking crucial elements such as the skin’s laxity.
Dermapure still has rough edges to smooth out. One of those is appointments starting later than expected.
A more pleasant atmosphere would also go a long way. Now, we’re not saying the clinic only has prickly folks on board; it’s just that some clients moaned about unfriendly staff members.
Overall, they’re not a shabby pick for those seeking consistent positive results and special deals.

Oh, and they’re well-kitted with other non-invasive, FDA-approved tech that complements Ultherapy. Some teammates even dealt with skin degradation across three layers by combining Ultherapy with Morpheus8 or Forma.
“What the hell are those?” might be on your mind now. Don’t worry, as nurses like Shannon and Shae, from experience, break down procedures in detail.
Response speed, though, moved a little slower than we’d like. Our team is all for detailed replies, but they shouldn’t take days…
…especially when the form they send after the wait turns out to be incorrect. That has happened in the past.
On the bright side, Advanced’s vibe and looks are spa-like.

I have nothing but good things to say about my experiences at Advanced Skin Care Clinic. I mainly have dealt with Shannon who is a Nurse Injector. I received injections in my forehead, jawline, chin, cheeks and lips and I could not be happier with my results. Shannon took her time to really get to know what I wanted to achieve and happily answered any questions I had. In addition, she was very thorough with explaining the process, pre/post care instructions, price point, etc. Shannon was professional, friendly and personable. Every time I have an appt at Advanced Skin Care, I am blown away at the level of care, skill, and attention that goes into the treatment. One bit that’s hard to overlook is RejuvaDERM’s dermatological foundation. Not many can top a place formed by dermatologists, nurse injectors, trained laser techs, and cosmetic surgeons.
Good luck topping their facilities as well. The 9000 sq ft clinic has 20 custom-built treatment rooms and a private “Glow Room” for loaded clients after a more indulgent session (or a venue for parties).
Personally, it’s the specialised medical consults I love most. There was barely any pressure when I went for one, and every potential outcome or option was discussed thoroughly.
To round that out, they have 25 energy-based systems. That means RejuvaDerm has the devices and treatments for a fully bespoke plan that includes Ultherapy.
Too bad their quality service, facilities, and tech have a downside: tight availability. Lots of clients queue up for slots here.
Worse still, some had to give up when their phone calls kept dropping.

Super Welcoming
As soon as I entered the clinic, I was greeted by Olivia. She was super welcoming and her kindness definitely eased my anxiety. I have seen Nurse Ally at the south location for Sculptra injections about two months ago. She’s a great nurse and very down to earth. She escorted me into a treatment room and took the time to explain the procedure, potential risks and side effects, as well as aftercare; Ally is extremely thorough. She checked in with me often throughout the procedure to see how I was tolerating it. I experienced very minimal discomfort. She followed up the very next morning to see how I was feeling and answered my multitude of questions. Very grateful to have such a wonderful injector and patient advocate!

For us, Rao Dermatology’s biggest perk is having Dr Jaggi Rao himself. He’s a double board-certified dermatologist (USA and Canada), a CAAM board member, and the guy who started Canada’s biggest dermatology conference, DermaCon.
Above all, most treatments he oversaw, including Ultherapy, turned out well. One common feedback we heard clients say is, “I was thrilled with the results!” and “It doesn’t look overdone!”
A relaxing vibe also lingers throughout the clinic. I mean, even the waiting room is spacious, clean, eye-catching, and staffed by a welcoming reception crew.
The drawback is you’ll probably stay there for a while. This spot is popular, and we’ve met clients who waited for hours.
Consults also don’t often match the lengthy queues. Many say appointments are too rushed or short.
One silver lining is that you can tap into a breadth of services under the same roof, surgical ones included.

I was referred to Dr. Rao by my family Doctor about a year ago as a medical referral. I only saw Dr. Rao a couple of times he was kind to deal with. I do continually go and have regular appts. Veronica is my favorite nurse there. She is super sweet & easy to talk too and understanding. She is not rush and get you out. If you have questions she will listen. You also get in quick to your appt. The longest I ever waited was 10 min the max after a scheduled time.

Albany Cosmetic and Laser Centre’s trophy cabinet might give you enough reason to pick them for Ultherapy.
In 2018, they were named Edmonton’s best medical spa (Community Choice). A Best Laser Centre nomination in 2019 followed that up.
Given they’re led by Dr Kamal Alhallak, who’s one of the doctors included in IFAH’s Top 100 Health Care Leaders list, we’re not too surprised.
And that’s why many book him for consults, which run for around 15 minutes. Crucial bits such as the anticipated results, medical histories, skin types, lifestyles, and dangers are often explored in depth.
After that, clients receive a bespoke plan that outlines timeframes and even aftercare instructions.
The staff could be friendlier, though. Concerns about curt phone responses and less-than-engaging interactions have been brought forward.
Opinions are split on the clinic’s ambience too. Some find its bold colours “vibrant,” while others label it “kitschy.”
