Which Neighborhoods to Visit near Greenfield 

Duggan 

Just like Greenfield, Duggan is also part of southwest Edmonton. 

It features an active community league that offers a calendar of events and programs, including the square-dancing program, soccer program and tournament, and other sports programs. 

Royal Gardens 

This neighborhood is bordered by main roads and streets, so accessing public transportation from here is not a problem. 

Although Royal Gardens is mostly made up of residential properties, you can still quickly access shops and stores like Southgate Centre and Southpoint Shopping Centre from here. 

Aspen Gardens 

Aspen Gardens overlooks the serene and majestic North Saskatchewan River Valley. It’s quite far from the city center, so it’s one of the best places to visit if you want to be away from it all and enjoy the beauty of nature. 

Rideau Park 

Rideau Park is bordered on the north by Whitemud Drive and Calgary Trail on the east. That’s why this neighborhood offers easy access to West Edmonton Mall and Edmonton International Airport. 

What to Expect from Greenfield Weather 

  • Spring: Spring (March to May) in Greenfield is the start of the sweater weather. Nonetheless, you can still see a hint of sunshine during this time, so it’s a great time to stroll around parks and gardens
  • Summer: Summer (June to August) in Edmonton means longer daylight hours, so it also means more time to discover new attractions and activities in and around Greenfield. The weather is also balmy and pleasant during this season since the temperature ranges from around 20°C to 30°C. 
  • Fall: Sip on some hot apple cider or pumpkin spice and enjoy lazy afternoons filled with rain showers.  From September to November, you can also attend a bunch of fall events such as Deadmonton Haunted House, Pumpkins After Dark Edmonton, and of course, the Oilers games for this season. 
  • Winter: If you’re not originally from Edmonton, winters can be brutal for you because the temperatures can drop up to -20°C. Nonetheless, it’s also a great time to enjoy winter activities like skiing, tubing, and snowboarding.
