Visiting YEG Candy Cane Lane during the holidays has become a holiday tradition for Edmontonians.

Not just that, but every year, hundreds of thousands of people flock to this West End Christmas Light and Decoration display to see what the holiday season is like there.

Candy Cane Lane's sights and sounds instill the Christmas spirit in all residents, especially since it is run entirely by volunteers.

The event is free to visit, but they do accept non-perishable food donations for Edmonton's Food Bank, bringing in the spirit of giving and sharing that is Christmas.

Take in the sights and sounds from your car or the sidewalks, beginning on December 9th and until New Year's Day. Lights are turned on at 6:00 PM and are finished at 11:00 PM.

From its opening until the 23rd of December, everyone can enjoy the sleigh rides, fire pits, and food trucks.

YEG Candy Cane Lane will be hosting three walk nights (10th, 17th, and 23rd) where the lane  will be closed to vehicles from 5:00 pm until 11:00 PM

During walk nights, visitors are encouraged to take their time and enjoy the lights while walking, sledding, skiing, biking, or getting down the lane in any way they see fit.
