Rideau Park is a simple and quiet neighborhood that’s worth visiting if you want to be away from the noise and traffic of the city center for a while. Landscaped boulevards border the neighborhood, so it’s quite far from larger roads and highways.
Nonetheless, you can still easily access Southgate Center from here.
What to Expect from Aspen Gardens Weather
- Spring: By March or April, the snow in Aspen Gardens will start to melt, so the weather will be ideal for strolling around nearby parks and attractions. However, average daytime highs during spring are still just over 11°C, so it’s best to layer up when going out.
- Summer: Long, sunny days with occasional afternoon thundershowers are what you can expect during summer (June to August) in Aspen Gardens. If you plan to visit various attractions and festivals by that time, don’t forget to wear sunscreen because the daytime highs can reach up to 35°C.
- Fall: Edmonton always has an epic fall scenery because there are many mature trees and forests all around the city. If you want to see and experience autumn in the city, we recommend you visit these vantage points – Big Bear Park, MacKinnon Ravine Park, and Floden Park.
