The best time to explore Beverly, Edmonton, depends on what kind of experience you’re looking for. For instance, if you’re the outdoorsy type and you enjoy attending vibrant festivals and events, you’ll enjoy exploring this neighborhood in summer (June to August).

Buses (ETS): ETS has no direct transit lines to Beverly, Edmonton, but some routes are still accessible in Beverly Heights. Buses 008 and 101 are the only transit lines with routes passing near Beverly Heights.

Northgate Centre is an enclosed shopping complex at the bustling intersection of 97 Street NW and 137 Avenue NW. It’s right across the North Edmonton transit terminal, so it’s fairly accessible if you’re coming from Beverly. 

It may look small initially, but in reality, this mall contains over 70 stores and services. Some of the stores you can check out inside Northgate Center are Winners, Ardene, RW & Co., and Oshkosh.   

Which Neighborhoods to Visit Near Beverly 

Hermitage 

Hermitage is in the northeast portion of the city. This neighborhood is surrounded by nature trails, parks, and picnic sites, so you can have plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors when you visit Hermitage.   

Gold Bar 

The residential neighborhood of Gold Bar is nestled on the river valley’s south bank. Just like its name, this neighborhood was coined the Gold Bar Farm because of the gold prospectors in its gravel bars along the North Saskatchewan River Valley in the 1800s. 

Bonnie Doon 

Bonnie Doon is in the southcentral part of Edmonton. It features quick access to the famous Mill Creek Ravine, so if you wish to explore nature and the outdoors, make sure to check out Bonnie Doon. 

Montrose 

At the southwest edge of Montrose is Rexall Place, which is home to widely celebrated ice hockey teams, including the Edmonton Oilers and Edmonton Oil Kings. If you’re passionate about this sport, you can drop by Montrose to get a glimpse of the NHL games. 

Capilano 

Capilano is a residential neighborhood that was established in the 1950s. It overlooks the majestic river valley and features the lovely Capilano Park, which offers year-round amenities such as walking and cycling trails, picnic sites, and more. 

What to Expect from Beverly Weather 

  • Spring: During spring (March to April), you can say goodbye to Beverly’s winter wonderland because, during these months, the weather starts to get warm and cozy. The daily temperature is just right for leisurely strolls to ravines and parks. 
  • However, it’s best to keep in mind that springtime temps can still be a bit chilly and can suddenly drop to 11°C or lower. 
  • Summer: Edmonton is known for its long sunny days in summer, so you can generally expect sun-drenched days in Beverly from June to August. If you plan to dive into a variety of nearby attractions in the city, remember to slather on some sunscreen and wear comfy clothes to keep cool!
  • Fall: Beverly features a beautiful autumn scenery because it’s surrounded by many mature wooded parklands. From September to November, you can get a picturesque shot of fall colors at nearby parks, including Rundle Park, Floden Park, Capilano Park, and more.
